  • If you are weighing out all the ingredients before you cook, then surely what you are tasting is coming out of your allowence? If you are cooking for more than yourself, then just a tiny bit on half a teaspoon near the end of cooking should be sufficient. Scarfing down spoonfuls is not tasting, its a bad habit which is…
  • Just do it! 😁 I Don't have a workout partner, I go to the gym twice a week and follow a program set up by the trainer. I also do a long walk at least once a week. I also have a motivation to stay fit, my weak back muscles were causing my back pain. (Also a relatively new relationship with a younger man! 😉) Find your…
  • Your arms look fine to me, but anyway, you can't tighten skin by any amount of weight lifting. It will either shrink back as you lose weight, if thats what you are doing, or it won't. If not, you could try cosmetic treatments which increase the collogen in your skin and tighten it up (RF Microneedling etc.) There is also…
  • I think the safest thing would be to hire a personal trainer to get you started. They can set you up a plan, and see you through the first few weeks or months. Injuring yourself because you take it too quickly, or a mistake in using the equipment could really set you back.
  • If you use an alternative, which still tastes creamy, you are not retraining your brain to accept healthier foods. As others have said, wean yourself off so much creamer and get used to healthier alternatives. Losing weight and living a healthier lifestyle is about finding a healthy balanced diet, not just reducing…
  • Cook a big pot of pasta, then customise each portion with different ingredients. It will be filling, and you can eat it cold, or if you have access to a microwave, hot. You can make the four portions together, in advance and freeze day 3 and 4.
  • I find I have evening cravings if a: I eat my dinner too early, or b:the food I eat is not satisfying. I don't eat huge meals during the day, normally, and try to save a good proportion for my dinner. I also include small treats now and again, such as single portion rice pudding pots, which satisfy my need for a dessert,…
  • Staying healthy and getting a balanced diet are most important. Any adverse physical symptoms are an indication that you are not achieving that. Please be careful not to spiral down into negative habits. Eat back a proportion of your excersize calories. I add around 2 thirds of whatever calories my app says I have burned,…
  • Hi, those calories seem a little high for weight loss. I am 5'7" and my calorie allowance for a 1lb loss per week is 1390. I didn't choose that myself, the app did if for me.
  • Liposuction! It's the only way!😫
  • I have Learned what I should and shouldnt eat, and what portion sizes to choose. When I stick to that I can maintain, but when I get lazy, or lose motivation I put weight back on.
  • I got to my goal weight a couple of months ago, so I'm trying not to gain at Christmas, not too much anyway. I know I will gain a bit, but that's ok, I'll just have to be good in January. I do try January, but that's not a hard enough challenge, so I also give up added sugar, can't unnecessary spending, to make it s bit…
  • I'm not sure if tbis is an improvement or not. Im 8lbs lighter, but have been neglecting the sit-ups, naughty me!
  • I agree, except don't tell him it's healthy. Cook the foods he likes but slip in healthy ingredients, grill the steak, fry the eggs in 1 cal spray oil, then add veg. No food is totally off the menu, but gradually add healthier foods to the ones he likes.
  • I still have the layer of flab too, I'm still trying to lose another 5 to 7 pounds. I'm starting to see the general shape of my abs after I've done my excersize, but when I sit down I still have a little apron that folds over my waistband.😞
  • So, who is doing what to achieve a washboard stomach?I'm doing ab crunches and leg raisers, although my get up and go got up and went, so I've been a little lazy the past few days.
  • Yes, that's the one!
  • Hmm, photo didn't come out, but it was of an underwear model showing a photo of herself in a pose, looking ultra skinny and toned, and then one of her sitting down. She had rolls!
  • [img]https://us.v-cdn.net/5021879/uploads/editor/kg/ra3fwzt52ml9.png[/in I saw this recently, and must share it, as I think we could be setting ourselves up for an impossible challenge. We can improve, but without being Severely underweight or extreme weight trainers, we will never be concave![/img]
  • Ok I hope this comes out, I just look this photo myself. I'm not overweight at all, having lost 14lbs, I'm my supposed ideal weight although I'd like to lose another 5lbs or so, but my tummy is very flabby. I'm starting doing sit up/crunches with a frame daily. At the moment I'm Doing 40 a day, as well as 50 wide leg…
  • American portions in restaurants are much bigger than in the UK. I only ever need to order a starter and dessert when in the USA. My best friend is a grazer and that works well for him, I couldn't eat like that, I have two good size meals which fill me up, possibly with fruit in between.
  • I weighed myself on Monday, which is my usual day. Hadn't lost a pound from last week. Weighed myself the next day, scales said I'd lost 2 pounds! Weigh weekly, not daily, cut down on salt and eat the calories MFP suggests, otherwise you will get too hungry and binge. If you are excersizing, you will have more water in…
  • Eat less protein, it's very filling, try more carbs. Also, speak to whatever support you have. We can give you our opinions here but if you feel you are slipping back, then get professional help. Good luck.
  • I put pale girls into the search area of pinterest, and some pretty looking girls and make up tutorials came up, but all the sporty looking girls had tans! Freckle faced girls of the world unite!! 🤨
  • You need to open your diary for public view so people can view and help.

  • Nothing. Trust the tape measure, not the scales. Muscle is heavier than fat. Well done, you are doing fine. Also, as others have said, normal fluctuations are par for the course.
  • Good luck! Add me as a friend if you like, we can support each other. I too have been here before and given up.
  • I don't have a photo, but I look pretty much like you, from that angle. I'm trying to tone up my tummy too. 🙂
  • As you lose weigh, you will need to reduce the number of calories you eat, otherwise you are eating at maintenance level, ie: A plateau. Every time you lose 10lbs, adjust your weight in your settings, and mfp will reduce your calories accordingly.
