  • If you're concerned about the added calories of sautéing with olive oil you can also sauté with water. When I make vegetables for example I add this thinnest layer of water to my pan so nothing sticks. After that you can season to add flavor!
  • I just googled for a list of healthy nutrition bars and boom Lara Bar is number 1 http://www.msn.com/en-us/health/nutrition/the-healthiest-and-unhealthiest-nutrition-bars/ss-BBmuRuw#image=13
  • I'm always looking for good protein bars. So far the best I've had are Larabars. What I like about them is that for a packaged product they have verrrry few ingredients. Naturally sweetened by dates, nothing I can't pronounce and each contains 3-5 ingredients.
  • Ugh Starbucks is the devil. The fact that they have drinks that have the same caloric density as one of my meals AND no real nutrients for those calories is so irritating to me. So far I've been able to avoid Starbucks just because of that fact. I've seen several pins on Pinterest of people who have come up with lower…
  • Lately if I have a midnight craving for something sweet I have a passion fruit. I don't know what it is about those little guys but oh my god are they ever delicious...
  • Cashew milk!! It's so good and creamy. I haven't had cow milk in probably 12 years so I can't really speak to how it tastes in comparison but I LOVE cashew milk
  • As much as I love kale it definitely is better in a salad. Spinach is a much nicer green to add in a smoothie. I just made one that's pretty good! It's one apple, 1 scoop vanilla protein, 1 cup spinach, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup uncooked oats, 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt and then just ice and water to blend. I like to…
  • Breakfast today was a big whopping nothing. I try to eat a clean paleo based diet and eat intuitively and this morning I just wasn't feeling food!
  • I don't use a scale either! There are so many non-scale victories too I think it's too easy to become fixated by that number. I have a past of disordered eating and starving myself with self loathing thoughts so the scale just never really helped me. It just made me much more obsessed. As long as you are moving your body,…
  • When I was in uni I found late night snacking was one of my biggest food vices - I would barely eat all day and then just be so hungry late at night while studying and eat whatever. If you incorporate some healthy fats in your meals throughout the day you may find that you won't be as hungry later. They really tend to keep…
  • My bff has PCOS and I've seen how difficult it's been for her to manage. I feel for all you ladies who are working on it! I don't have PCOS but I have hormonal imbalances and I've been trying to balance out through diet and lifestyle. Have any of you tried incorporating maca powder? It's said to be a powder that balances…
  • Anyone feel free to add me!! I love new friends
  • Mmm I love beans! Maybe that's why when the clock strike September I'm already thinking about fall and chill! Girl, if you love Buffalo wings I totally recommend cauliflower Buffalo wings then. I make them when I'm really feeling a cheat meal as a healthy alternative. I probably have about 15 different Buffalo Cauliflower…
  • I've definitely always found the weekends harder! I have pretty good will power and I stick to my eating lifestyle, but it feels like I'm missing part of what it means to be social. I'll still go out with my friends just like I would before but it's weird to be the person who isn't drinking or sharing some of the food and…
  • These probably seem like weird products to be obsessed with but lately it's been bee pollen and maca powder for me. I'm really into eating whole foods and finding foods that will help my body holistically. They both have so many insane benefits that balance out hormones, improve skin, boost immunity, provide natural…
  • If you want to get more into some cool preparations of vegetables I HIGHLY recommend going on Pinterest and searching "cauliflower wings." They're so bomb
  • I LOVE meal prepping. It feels super productive on a Sunday afternoon and really sets me up for success all week. I typically make portions of my meals. I get bored really easily so I'm constantly on Pinterest looking for mainly plant-based recipes to try. Because it's getting cooler chili and soups are fun to make. But…
  • Good for you for being busy and still prioritizing your health and fitness! You're going to kill it!!
  • I'm not totally sure what I want to lose yet, but my goal is to lean out and get hella strong! I love telling other women they're killing the game so add me for some female love!
  • Carrot cake, nachos or tacos and margaritas!
  • Ontario, Canada! Where my Canadians at?!?!
  • I definitely can't say I have a success story because my story/battle is still ongoing. I left university for a semester because my chronic anxiety had really gone astray - I became incredibly depressed and stopped eating for months. I would probably eat an average of maybe 200 calories a day. I lost loads of weight and…
  • I love friends!! Would love to meet some new people and help motivate each other
