Sorry to hear he got hurt. That’s no fun. Once he’s recovered enough, he can always walk on a treadmill or ride a stationary bike. That shouldn’t aggravate his injury. And he’s burning calories. You can’t localize or Target a specific body area to lose fat. It kinda just melts away all over. Keep his calories burned higher…

You look great. Have fun with it.

Good for you. It’s great that you want to challenge yourself. There is nothing to worry about. Weight rooms can feel intimidating. But people really are just focused on their own thing. The MOST important thing is to be safe. That always starts with good technique. Please find someone that can walk you through the proper…

I’m down 18 and am at my goal range. I’ve set a 5 pound range that I stay within. That gives me a little wiggle room as weight naturally fluctuates. That said, I don’t want to go backwards. So I stick to the allotted calories as well as my fitness program. Friends pressure me to have burgers wings and beers. It’s can be…

Hey friends. I’m 57 and started getting back into “shape” about 6 years ago. Didn’t make much progress until about 9 months ago. Decided to work with a personal trainer at my gym. Did 10 sessions with her. Then stuck to what she taught me. That, coupled with logging my meals on here has made the difference. Since then I’ve…

I’d add, go observe a few sessions. That will give you a good idea of what to expect. Then you can assess if you are ready or not. If not, you will know what to work on. If you are, have fun. Take care.

I agree with niner. I tried cross fit too early. Then paid for it with an injury. That’s a great goal to work towards. Just make sure you have achieved the fitness level needed first. Enjoy

Good for you for getting started. I’m not an expert. But I’m happy to share what I’ve learned. This is a journey with lots of ups and downs and many variables. Losing the 9 was great. However, you might have been a little dehydrated. Therefore, when you weighed yourself later you may have been more hydrated. Thus up 2. But…

I’ve had 3 knee surgeries. So I feel your pain. Many of the recommendations above are great. Biking and swimming are fantastic low/no impact exercises. I’d suggest adding some weight training to your workout regiment. Nothing protects the knee like strong muscles supporting the joint. In addition, you can burn more…

Clearly this guy was way out of line. Good for you for taking action. With the documentation you’ve provided, the company has an obligation to investigate. The very different experience with your boyfriend demonstrates a much different approach based on gender. That helps build a case of sexual harassment, not just bad…

Great job. So this marks your starting point. Write that down and look back on it each month as you progress. That will give you a fantastic reference point to keep you motivated.
