  • Good morning all! Been away for a few days. No health issues just frustrated. I needed a break. I was good about recording my foods etc. but the dang system kept saying I wasn't eating enough or I was eating wrong and I knew this wasn't so. I found myself fudging the log and that's no good and serves no purpose. Plus,…
  • Happy August! I didn't stat it off right. Forgot to take my morning meds yesterday. Being Type 2 and Sjogren's it is not good to forget meds. Hopefully back on track today. Beautiful sunshine and low humidity! Enjoy!
  • Not a good day yesterday. Numbers didn't look bad, but I know I didn't log all my food and I am paying the price! Spent most of the night in the bathroom. Taking it easy today, both physically and on my self. I'm human. I'll get back on track.
  • Yes, thankfully I am OK to workout and walk. In this heat I stick to the tread mill and the AC LOL! I still make sure to break it up so I don't over-do it. Once the endorphins kick in I'm usually good to go.
  • Hello all! Spent the morning in the ER with my hubby. He has had some cramping in his calf and since he had a heart stent a few years ago we weren't taking any chances. Thankfully it was a slight case of dehydration. Small wonder in this heat. Doc said to remember water is not enough. He recommends adding bananas or…
  • The profile is a personal choice. I like it because I can go back and say I accomplished that or I need to work on that. I also like it to see if anyone has my same likes/dislikes. I keep it closed to all but friends. As for the whole logging daily chores...I do that when I am so busy I can't do a proper workout. Again, a…
  • Diagnosed me with Sjogren's. Causes lots of unbearable pain and debilitating fatigue. On Plaquenil and it seems to help. I just can't give in to it.

I've tried slimming world and other diets with no success unless I cut out a lot extra, which I didn't find sustsinable. I've put this down to me not following the diet properly. The last 3 months I have…
  • I love the posts here! Real people not a bunch of fakers and fluff! I have Sjogrens which affects my joints and muscles and causes severe fatigue. I am also type 2 diabetic. Other issues, but those 2 are the most frustrating. Endo doc put me on another new med, and I was like UGH! BUT...it's working blood sugars are…
  • I just had a meniscus tear repaired in April. I had the other knee done last May. I ended back up at the ortho 3 weeks ago. Still not better, even worse! I continue to do band stretches, ice and elevate. Calling him back tomorrow. I can't deal with the pain. I either have another tear or...?
  • I have a habit of having complete conversations in my head about something I want to tackle. Kind of a practice run...then I let my husband in on it, He says I think like a golf ball in a tiled bathroom lol! So when I do this he just says "golfball" and I know I need to fill him in on the details I already worked out in my…
  • Not Hashimoto, but and IgA deficiency and Sjogrens. Diabetes type 2 doesn't help. Just learning about diet helping with this so any info is great.
  • Pushed through it and actually got a decent workout done. Love it when the endorphins kick in!
  • Didn't get a lot of exercise in, but I did clean out the work out room and got the laundry off the multi-gym LOL! It's a great piece of equipment. You can add weight from 20 to 300 pounds. It works on legs, arms, stomach and back. Today I actually used it for its intended purpose. Go me!
  • So many medical issues, I need your help to stay focused on healthy eating, exercise (at the least...moving more) and keeping a positive attitude.
  • Thanks for helping me get July off to a great start! I've been doing small daily goals and it's been working for me. I need to focus on 2 things. 1st is to get more active. Stop sitting at the computer and put down the boo once in a while and WALK! 2nd is that I definitely need to drink more water to flush the toxins. Keep…
  • I have had an auto-immune for @ 5 yrs. IGA Deficiency. Last week I was diagnosed with another, Sjogrens. I had to fight for almost 4 years to get the tests and referrals I needed, but finally paid off. Saw an RA doc and she hit it spot on. She put me on Plaquenil and a week later I am already feeling improvement. Don't…
  • Thank you both!
  • Nearest pool is 50 miles away at the "Y". I live in a very rural area. I do pack a suit when I am in that area shopping though and you're right, it does help.
  • Orchard Valley has some healthy individual packaged snacks. Non GMO, no artificial ingredients. Nuts, cranberries, a nice mix.
  • Hi! I'm Mary. Goal is to lose 60 pounds, but putting it down in 20 pound increments. Many health issues. Finally found a doctor who I believe is on the right track. Long story, details later. Glad to be here and thankful for your support.
