One slice of Ezekiel bread with a tiny bit of pb on it. String cheese. Apple dipped in a tbsp of pb.

It is frustrating! I miss being able to just eat without counting and thinking. Lol But we'll be better off for it.

Amazing! God bless you. Keep going!

I had terribly painful shin splints. The pain was so bad I went to the doctor. He sent me to a physical therapist who said the cause was super tight calf muscles. I worked with the physical therapist for a few weeks and now I can run again. It's expensive but worth it!

I was starving and stressed out so I changed my macros up a bit. I eat less carbs and more fat, and now I feel full and happy. For you, it may be that protein is the magic macro that helps you feel fuller. Try switching those around. If it worked for me, it may work for you. And as far as weight loss goes, give it time.…

Don't you wish you could magically give some of your weight to someone in need? I have more than I need, he needs to gain - can medical science find a way to do fat donations?

So funny - I've got 40 I want to lose by my 40th birthday in November! Good luck!

Panda Express beef and broccoli is crazy low calorie. Chili's sirloin with avocado on the lighter fare menu section is like 420 cal or something like that.

My guess would be the shoes too.

Thanks everyone! It's nice to hear some real-life examples. I guess I can only wait and see what will happen to me. I had two c-sections and have plenty of stretch marks. It is what it is. The most important thing is that I'm getting healthy.

I'm only about 10 lbs in, but after many successes and failures, what is working this time is making habits, not relying on willpower or motivation. That, plus including treats in my day while watching calories. That way I don't feel deprived. I used to go all in and make all these extreme rules for myself. That always led…

Awesome! What a great way to look at it. Takes all the stress and judgment away from food choices. Thanks for sharing!

If I don't have eggs for breakfast, I stay hungry all day. Weird, but I guess I need that protein boost in the morning. I have found that eating higher fat and lower carb keeps me feeling full and happy. Not LOW carb, but LESS carbs. When my meals are 50% carbs or more, I am hungry all day.

I eat out at Chili's all the time and when I started MFP I was shocked to learn most of their meals are 1000+ calories. It's shocking, but then not.
-
Great job! You look amazing! I have about the same amount to lose and my stomach looks like your before pic. I have been worried that I'll have loose skin but it doesn't look like you have any. I hope I'm the same! Bravo!

1,000 is an arbitrary number. Please get back in touch with your treatment team before it gets more difficult. You can do this.

My mother is morbidly obese and I have a deep fear of becoming that way too. Just remember, you are young and can start today to treat yourself kindly. Neither of us have to become what our mothers have. If you are a religious person, you could check to see if your church has counselors that can help. I'm a Mormon and my…

I am hypoglycemic so I was feeling hungry and cranky on the calories MFP gave me to lose a pound a week. So I changed it to a half pound a week and I feel better, physically and mentally. I am trying to remind myself that it doesn't matter that it will take longer to reach my goal. I'll get there eventually. It's not worth…

So many people think they just have to count calories till they reach goal - no wonder so many people regain. That's part of why I'm waffling - I know I need to do this for the rest of my life and it feels like a big pill to swallow. But looking at it day by day makes it easier. Thanks for your advice and congrats on the…

Hang in there! Think of how beautiful your teeth will look. Hugs.

That is good advice. Thank you!

You're right - so really, it's track now or be lazy now and get diabetes and have to track anyway. Thank you for your perspective.

I think you hit the nail on the head. My longing to just eat intuitively very well may be an excuse to eat mindlessly. In fact I just told my husband last night how nice it is to just go to a restaurant, and order and eat what sounds good without having to think about it. I need to tell myself that's always an option, but…

Thank you for this. That's a perfect example.

If we were meant to be vegetarians, why do we have sharp canine teeth?

You can always save 100-150 calories for your sweets at night. Then you can eat them happily knowing you're still meeting your goals. I am learning that paying attention to my food and really savoring each bite helps me to be satisfied on less. You know you're going to want sweets at night, so plan for them.

Chick-fil-a has their calorie counts right on their menu boards - So easy, you don't even have to Google anything. If you go at breakfast time, try their grilled egg white sandwich. It's really good and only 300 cal.

It's good to feel happy where you're at. You should be happy because you've worked hard and also because our weight shouldn't determine our happiness. But keep going. You're healthy now but as you age, the extra weight can cause health problems. I feel good 20 lbs above what is considered healthy for me, but diabetes runs…

There's a lot of misinformation out there about carbs and people do hate on white potatoes. Just ignore them. They grow from the earth and are packed with nutrients. I am trying to eat less white bread and white pasta, only because I still feel hungry afterwards. They don't seem to do much for me as far as satiation goes.…

Yes, I would also suggest speaking to a doctor. Even if it's not anorexia or another eating disorder, it still seems like a stressful/unhealthy way to live. Hugs.
