Thank you for replies I don’t call these foods bad per se, that’s what I think differs my binge eating to other, in that I’m not restricting. They become slightly bad in that I have done them just want more. I’ve been known to polish off whole packs of biscuits and bread!

Interesting one poster put about breakfast. My binges are currently starting as soon as I wake up- 5.20 am. I have half an hour before dropping children off at childcare and I start the day with coffee and chocolate, protein bars. I think it’s because I’m slightly dreading the day. I then arrive at work tired needing more…

I also wanted to add I used to run a lot but alas injuries mean that’s not an option any more , and little people limit my spare time. I can’t blame others though even on my free time I’m doing the supermarket trip, excited chucking in all those carbs...

I’m so amazed at all the honest, supportive and kind responses. I feel like I love food in that it’s giving me a hot but during a binge I’m grabbing anything. It started at breakfast! I wake up and feel excited by the morning binge and without it dread the day! My work is extremely stressful- but that’s work and part of…

I had cheese on the pizza - goats cheese so thought that was contributing to my carb intake? X

Great responses thank you all for sharing. That’s so interesting to hear different perspectives and from your own experiences too. I think you all just be pretty much spot on. I’ve tried no carbs years ago and was permanently hungry. That was pretty much zero carbs (just green leafy veggies and a few berries!). I also felt…

Ooo where did the rest of my post go? Follicular stage of cycle so should be a good phase for me. I track my cycle as I do get pmt and usually eat way more on those two weeks prior to menstruation. I cycled yesterday but only burnt 300 kcal so doesn’t explain my huge increase in kcal intake.

Hi Maxxit yes I can be like that too, eating the pizza I ended up finishing off everyone’s crusts too- missed that bit out initially

I meant to say I have an injury too so haven’t been able to work out either but been doing small bits of Physio, thinking in my mind, when I’m better I’ll do a run. Vanity helps too. I probably look like a haggard sack of potatoes but i like to tell myself I’m a Claudia schieffer equivalent

Don’t give up, that’s my advice. I slip up regularly and for the past month haven’t dared to count the calories on those slip up days (very against myfitnesspal logging theory). For me personally, then just getting back on the health kick has been amazing I’ve lost four pounds with this type of thing and having the odd day…

Oh absolutely. I think I’m worse with bread than I am chocolate or ice cream. But useful to be reminded overeating is overeating... whatever it happens to be!

Hi i just wanted to write and say I sympathise. There are certain a times whereby I think I will just have a small bit of cake and instead of it being satiating, I find it builds more of a craving. You did really well to moderate your intake when feeling like that. It’s tough isn’t it because banning anything isn’t meant…
