Day 4 and first non-wine weekend in a while. I’m looking forward to it actually! Have a good weekend all!

Thanks @Orphia yeah I’m finishing day three. So far so good. I definitely love not waking up with regret and saving 💰 money. I’m also doing the 10 day weigh in challenge on MFP so it’s a nice combo!

Hi all, I’m trying to lose a good 8 pounds and wine is my vice!! I have been a daily 2-3 glass of wine drinker. I never want more than that but I also drink daily which is neither healthy or what I want to do. I find that drinking a glass while cooking and then another with dinner lead to less portion control. I’m very…

First round for me SW 150.3 GW for this round 147.8 Day/Weight/Comment 11/14 - 150.3 11/15 - 149.3 — weighed myself right when I woke up. The last two days I’ve run 4/5 mile HIIT treadmill runs and stuck to 1750 calories so I hope to see a downward trend. 11/16 11/17 11/18 11/19 11/20 11/21 11/22 11/23

Hi all! Good to catch up and read through posts. It was a wet May for me - I’m on board for a dry week this week then head to DC for work which is always tough because I get bored by myself in the evenings. Can’t believe summer is almost here. I see from my last few weeks that I need to really buckle down - getting loose…

Got home from a performance for my kids at school this evening and wanted to open a bottle of wine really badly. I chugged a strawberry rhubarb seltzer from Trader Joe’s instead. I think I was actually really thirsty. One day at a time - I’m really grateful for this place to go for encouragement and inspiration. I’m…

So true! When I get down on myself I need to realize that last year I was a daily wine drinker and now I’m not. That alone is great progress!

I haven’t heard what she has to say but the whole “wine mom” and “wine o clock” memes and bloggers and ads etc are so much about how We need and deserve wine to handle parenting. But I find it has the opposite effect. I’m less engaged, less likely to read or play a game, even if I just have one glass. Plus, there are so…

This is so true - if I have wine in the house that is under a 15$ bottle I’ll drink it. I have some more expensive wine that I’m not as tempted to drink. I was going to Trader Joe’s yesterday and almost picked up some canned wine for the beach, but then thought about how it would be in the house this week when I’m trying…

Starting fresh today. Weather has been sooo good and hubby perfected a margarita using fresh juice from grapefruits we picked off our friends trees, soooo back to dry Monday :)

Skinny fit has a great recipe for a peanut sauce dressing for chicken and cucumber salad. We also do smoothies and I add water and make a dip for apples with my kids.

Insomnia is mostly mental/ habits, a little hormonal and a little genetic. I had horrible post partum anxiety and 10 months of bad insomnia. What helped the most was dealing with anxiety and learning how to observe thoughts without having to figure them out at bedtime. I think letting yourself know that periods of…

Mindless moderation!!! That’s me! I don’t struggle with drinking super excessively, I don’t have any problem stopping - it’s the mindless two glasses that I have! Good stuff in your post! I totally agree

Back in for May. The slippery slope definitely was in effect for me in April. This month I’m committing to really working on not drinking anything except for an occasional date night. Thanks to this thread for keeping me honest!

Those look amazing!

I do a modified version of project 333 (you can google it for more info) it’s 33 items of clothing for 3 months. I love it! It is less thinking, and it forces you to figure out what your personal style is and makes dressing such a snap. Now, applying that concept to drinking is an interesting idea. The idea of minimalism,…

Hi all! I just got back from a long work trip to San Francisco and wine was a part of every day. I never drank more than a few glasses but I just felt tired and sluggish after all the meetings and drinks and dinners. Last night was my first AF night in a while and it felt great! I need more in my life. April has been kind…

By the way I have done terrible at taking days off the month, from Chicago trip to my birthday in wine country to a week in Mexico to Padres game now on my way to SF - I’ve had wine daily :( not proud but determined to to do some solid AF time when I get back this week. I want to do really healthy eating as well. Luckily I…

There is so much tacky drinking stuff out there. When I was flying back from Mexico last week I noticed all these T shirts with drinking slogans “I’m drinking about you” and yesterday I went to a Padres game and my sons little league team was there. The lady in charge was pretty sloppy drunk and had a t shirt that said…

Oh my gosh the worst! I just had a new 1400 crown done. The expense of teeth is insane!! I usually put them in the fridge :) good compromise - cold eat longer but not too hard
-
Ha me too! I’ve been off the wagon and need go get back on but motivation has not been there
-
So true! I have some friends who just don’t care for alcohol - I’m like how is that possible?
-
My husband loved it! I’m like give me Outlander :) also, speaking of your earlier posts do you ever get the dark chocolate peanut butter cups at TJs? Soooo good

Oh! Cool! I love love eating a more plant based diet, I could totally be a vegetarian except for my Meat loving husband. I try to sneak in more meat free days and I do all organic and grass fed meats now. It’s more expensive but I would rather pay more and not worry about antibiotics, chemicals and hormones in the meat.

What is WFPB?

Even though I know Mad Men, and other heavy shows like Narcos are totally well written etc, they make me depressed! My hubby loves them but I just don’t feel like being brought down.
