  • I actually hit onederland my self this week. It's been about 3 years since I've been under 200. I was really happy to see the 199 pop up the other day. My goal is to get down to 194 by Christmas. We can do this!
  • Just curious, why green tea as opposed to regular tea? I like to have a cup of tea at night during the fall & winter months. It keeps me warm & keeps me from eating things I shouldn't be eating. Right now I have a box of herbal teas that were given to me. I'm enjoying them a lot.
  • Done & Done! I did 16 minute cardio HIIT chair workout this morning & 20 minute on the stationary bike at lunch. Still can't walk because of the sprained ankle. Normally walk 3 to 4 days a week. Breakfast today was oatmeal with a little bit of raisins.
  • Done Today I had glass of orange juice & a bowl of oatmeal with banana I've been trying to have oatmeal with some type of fruit on most days. On weekends I'm more likely to whip up some scrambled eggs with green peppers & a little cheese on top

  • Walked 1 & 1/2 miles this morning. It was a beautiful sunny fall day! Also finally got to 10,000 steps on my Fitbit since I got it a month ago. Definitely was not a lot of sitting going on in my world today.

  • Done! I'm ready to sit less!
  • My goal will be to get up every half hour and walk around while on the phone. With the ultimate goal to get 250 steps per hour.
  • Unfortunately that is part of my issue. I sit too long at my desk everyday without getting up. I've been setting the timer on my phone for 30 minutes each time I sit down. This way I don't forget to get up because I'm distracted by work. Being aware of how much you sit in a day will only help move us toward being healthier.
  • One month of logging my food/activities. Also resisting the urge to have an evening snack
  • My stats as of yesterday (9/8/2016) 8/15/2016 Start weight: 216 Current weight: 212 (after 25 days) Total lbs lost: 4 Short term goal: 194 (10%/-22 lbs) – By Christmas/In 15 Weeks @GoldnRampion I agree everyday is a fresh start ... We can do this!!
  • Weighed in this morning. Down one more pound - total of 3 since 8/15. It was not a normal week. Youngest son's b-day so out to dinner & cake over the weekend. Chocolate cake/chocolate icing .... my favorite couldn't resist. Also, not too much activity due to mildly sprained ankle. So I'm happy with one pound this week.
  • Down one more pound this week 8/15/2016 Start weight: 216 Current weight: 213 Total lbs lost: 3 Short term goal: 194 (10%/-22 lbs) Long term goal: ???
  • Well said! You expressed my feelings almost perfectly. My motto is one day - one step at a time. We can do this! We will get better & we will feel better!
  • Done - I always try to take the stairs when possible. I also park at the far end of a parking lot to get extra steps in.
  • LOL .... I'm with you! My head still thinks I'm 30 but my 54 year old body is saying oh no I don't think so! Struggling to get back to being active after multiple surgeries, but I know I'll get there. I'm not giving up yet.
  • Pamne54 I know where you are coming from! I just finished PT for knee surgery inJune. That was after ankle surgery last November & back surgery last February.
