I don't hate Dr. Oz. I just REALLY dislike the idiot. He's only doing a disservice to his audience and others that follow him by promising false hopes with these claims. He needs to get off the air and just be a cardiologist off air.

Focus on you macronutrient intake first. Then focus on lifting. Add cardio to increase your TDEE.

Aggressive caloric deficit. You're a woman so accept the fact that your fat loss will be half of that to men. Women have a lower body weight to begin with plus a higher BF set point.... Aim for .75 -1lb tops and women are much more sensitive to fat loss as opposed to men.

Metabolic slowdown.. Common problem. A good solution is to consume maintenance cals for 2 weeks then proceed to go back to your dieting calories. It helps up regulate certain hormones such neuropeptide YY, leptin, and helps regulate metabolism temporarily before you can go back to dieting.

Whey protein is by far superior to other sources of protein in regards to micronutrient density, plus it contains a rich AA profile, (depending on the type of whey i.e. hydrolyzed, isolate, concentrate). Plus the value of cost to serving is superior to any source of protein like crap chicken breast.
