I like the blueberry, pancake, and caramel syrups - I put them on my cheesecake, angel food cake (crazyravr's recipes) and oatmeal
-
same here - now that I'm in maintenance, I'm experimenting and increasing from 50% to 60% right now - will see how that goes, and hopefully I will be able to end up eating 100% too! :)

I made beef stew in mine for the first time yesterday - I usually make it in the slow cooker - and it was delicious! So much better in the instant pot - I did add the vegetables (carrots, onions, potatoes) after the beef was cooked - did a natural release for 10 minutes, then a quick release, then added the veggies for 10…

I've learned a TON of things from this forum - very helpful things that have guided me to a 55lb weight loss! I think this forum is awesome!

I pre-log around 300 calories as well - I eat it around 8:30 when I'm watching tv - that's a habit I refuse to change, and since I can easily work it into my calories, I don't have to. My tv shows + chips and chocolate is my favorite time of day!
-
I followed a tip posted by someone earlier and put them in the toaster oven for a few minutes to crisp them up a bit - made a big difference! I don't have any Walden's chocolate syrup yet, I just have the pancake syrup (crazyravr's recipe)
-
Milk chocolate - yummy creamy let it melt in your mouth until it's all coated with the deliciousness of milk chocolate
-
Where do you buy your Walden products? (I'm in Canada) I bought a bottle of the pancake syrup from walmart in the states via instore pickup last time I went - it was $3! Now I look and it's something like $7 and it's out of stock - kicking myself for not ordering more last time! And the spreads look intriguing! And yeah, I…

I love these ideas! I just bought 2 packages of the boneless loin chops at Costco last week (they were on sale) and each chop is like a mini pork roast LOL
-
Good thing I took them out of the oven then :p Pictures can be deceiving, because I thought yours looked crispy! They were good though - like biting into a cloud! :)

Nobody told me I should measure and take pics before losing weight - I did consider it, and thought nah, I don't really care about that, but now I'm wishing I had, just for curiosity sake I guess I could regain the 50 lbs, measure, take pics, then lose it again haha! just kidding! But if anyone just starting out is reading…

here's mine using crazyravr's recipe - they were really soft, and not crispy at all - is that how they're supposed to be?
-
I had trouble reaching my protein goal too - I was barely hitting 50% of it until I saw a cheesecake thread in the recipes section with fantastic recipes that called for protein powder - I now meet or exceed my protein goal!
-
Came across this thread while searching for something last night. My silicone donut tray will be here Monday! :p I'm going to have to set up some sort of calendar to keep track of when I want to make cheesecake, angel food cake, and donuts LOL So many awesome recipes and ideas - thank you to all who keep coming up with…
-
chocoholic here as well - I buy the snack sized bars and have 2 every night - and it's milk chocolate all the way for me - I've tried dark chocolate but it just doesn't cut it!
-
I copy and paste them into notepad and then print from there

I'm following the advice to take a few classes - I did some youtube videos, having never done yoga before in my life, and ended up pulling a muscle in my back, around the shoulder blade area, and it hurt like the dickens! So classes it is...then it's back to Adrienne!

I'm baffled by those that complain they are not losing weight despite "eating clean" - as if that is the only thing they need to do I eat what tastes good - clean or dirty, I don't care :p
-
I think it's actually depressing that a single roll with dinner every day can have such an effect on one's weight over the years - a single lonely roll...like, c'mon! Who do I complain to? LOL
-
I've lost 40 lbs so far - and I'm not cold at all - in fact, I'm the first one in the neighborhood to turn on the A/C in the spring, and the last one to turn it off in the fall!

The current issue of Woman's World magazine has an article on ACV, and it says that it slims you down without dieting. So it's not true? :'( B) No, I didn't buy it - I saw it when waiting in line at the grocery store :p

I tore the ligaments in my feet doing hills - I was pushing too hard to get up the hills - this was over 5 years ago and I still can't do hills - even the slightest incline causes pain. I don't know how common this is, but just be aware. (side note: I use poles as well)
-
I make my decision based on the taste - if there's no taste difference, I'll usually get the low fat - but most low fat foods make me gag - especially sour cream
-
tired and discouraged - I'm losing weight (lost 30 lbs, 20 - 30 more to go) but everyone says how much better they feel after losing weight, and I feel worse - and I walk for fitness, and I should be getting faster, but I'm getting slower - I'm like The Opposite Person LOL My blood pressure is down a bit, but so far that's…
-
ditto! the ONLY thing I've cut out is the Chicago Mix from Costco - I could scarf down half of one of those big bags without even blinking an eye - so that snack had to go! Other than that, I eat what I want, just less of it. So far so good - I'm down 25 lbs.
-
I use mine for steel cut oats - I mix the ingredients at night, set the timer, and it's ready when I get up in the morning. I'm intrigued by the inside out egg rolls - sounds yummy! I'm going to give that a go this week!
-
another daily eater here too! I discovered steel cut oats a few months ago and I LOVE them! I put the ingredients (oats, water, cinnamon, and sometimes chopped apple) in my instant pot before I go to bed and set the timer, and they're hot and ready when I get up in the morning! sooo yummy!

I hear ya! I was doing just fine, walking 5 miles a day...then I got the bright idea to try cardio with Fitness Blender on youtube - I did the easiest beginner one I could find - a whole 8 minutes or so, including warm up and cool down - and ended up pulling several muscles in my back If I ever heal, I've already made…

I used to do the deprivation thing - and it would work, for awhile...then the resentment would start, and then the anger, and then the "screw it, I'm not living like this!" so now I'm trying moderation - and so far, so good - slight resentment at not being able to eat as much chocolate/chips as I want, but it's much better…
-
I don't love it or hate it either, as someone else posted - I do it out of necessity. Initially I did it (walking 5 miles/day) so I could eat what I wanted and not gain weight, because for a long time I didn't care that I was fat, I just didn't want to get fatter. And it worked, and I was happy. But now I'm getting older,…
