I'm only half a kilogram away from being under 80kg. So close.

Most of my pant are either too big now or have been wearing out so I bought a new pair of trousers from somewhere that doesn't have a changing room, telling myself that if they didn fit it was fine because they would in a few weeks. Not only did they fit, they fit comfortably with a little room to spare. So now I'm back…

After about 2 years of trying to get back into running and life constantly getting in the way in one way or another, I finally got back to the point where I can run 5k without stopping. I straight up nearly cried out in the street when I checked my running app.

Two things that have made me happy lately. The first is that the urge to eat my emotions seems to have finally vanished. The second is that I can now fit into some of my old dresses that I've missed wearing and I'm getting close to fitting into my favourite one.

My fingers swell up if I'm even a little active once it gets warm. They've done it my whole life. It's hereditary. My mam has the same thing. It's a circulation thing apparently. I looked into it ages ago but I can't remember the actual cause of it, just that it's not dangerous and a surprisingly high preportion of the…

To get under 85kg. I'm 86.1 at the moment, so I'm not too far off.
-
I got my 5k time under 35 minutes for the first time today. Also, I am so close to being able to touch my toes for the first time basically ever.

They do to me. Asparagus just tastes like broccoli that's made of disappointment. It's not bad, but it's just pointless when broccoli exists, tastes way better and costs less.
-
Asparagus is just rubbish expensive broccoli and bacon is absolutely revolting.

I ran 5k for the first time yesterday. It's something I thought I'd never be able to do. I'd tried to get into running 3 or 4 times before and ended up hurting my leg each time. Not this time though.

Oh man, depressed brains are made of *kitten*, I can sympathize. I'd definitely see about getting a blood test done, just to make sure there's nothing easy to spot causing it. Does come on as a mood crash as soon as you're done or does it build as you're exercising?

This is absolutely the best thread on this entire site. Here's mine. He's half Frenchie and half English bulldog and has the best crossbreed name ever. They called them freelance bulldogs and I love it. Makes it sound like being a bulldog is his job.

I've got two mini goals at the moment. One for weight and one for fitness. For fitness, I want to be able to run 5k. I have 2 and a half weeks left on the C25k program I'm following and so far I'm on track. For weight, 85kg is my next milestone. I'm 3.2 (about 7lb) away but my body is being stubborn at the moment so it's…

I restarted about a month ago and I'm happy to add pretty much anyone. I'm 5'3" and just under that 200lb mark (though I keep count in kg because there's less stigma attached to the way those numbers fall in my head).

I realised that most of what I thought was boredom eating was actually looking for sensory stimulation. So now when I want food but I don't feel hungry I have chewing gum. Feels similar enough to scratch the itch.

I'm closer to pan, but bi fits as well. Honestly seems to change with the damn wind.

Rob Zombie's Dragula is a good one. Cherry Bomb is great as well.

I'm on week 5 of this and I'm really enjoying it. It does hit a pay wall at week 4, but you'll know if it's for you by then and it's not too expensive.

I would definitely recommend doing something structured designed by someone who knows what they're doing. I'm on my 4th attempt now and every other time I've hurt my leg after a few weeks with very little to show for it. This time I'm using Zombies, Run! 5k and I've gone from barely being able to run for 30 seconds to…

It's not just portion sizes. There's way more added sugar in things you wouldn't expect it to be in, like jars of pasta sauce. There was a documentary I saw a few years ago where a family wanted to eat healthier. The only change the producers had them change was that everything had to be made from scratch. They were eating…

Surprised no one has brought up the systemic reasons people tend to be overweight. If you've got a full time job, which most people do, that's 40 hours a week you're not home, plus's however long it takes to commute which can be more than an hour there and back for a lot of people. So that's not exactly a lot of time at…

Oh man, depression a toddler and sinking self loathing. That sounds all to familiar. Going to send you a friend request. I have a couple of low effort recipies that have some flex to them. Not quite easy enough to be depression meals, but not far off.

Just put some vaseline on your thighs. It lasts for ages and you don't have to layer up.

370, so good for a breakfast. Less if you use skimmed milk and 150 of that is from the oats which if you're just looking for chocolate can be left out. It makes a reasonable sized glass full. Has something like 10g of fibre as is.
-
40g of raw oats, 1 ripe/overripe bannana, about 5g of cocoa powder and about140ml of milk. Chuck it all in a blender. It makes a really nice chocolate milkshake that's awesome for breakfast. Put it in the fridge for an hour or so and it gets really thick. almost pudding consistency. Gives the chocolate kick while also…

That you lose in some weird places. I noticed the other day that my armpits had hollowed out. It was a bit of a wtf moment.
-
That might just be an issue with yours. I've never had an issue with that.
-
. . . That actually sounds amazing. I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow.
-
So this is where all the other grumpy *kitten* are. I had been wondering.

I'm 29, about 5'2" and half way through losing 20kg. Could do with someone getting on my case as well. Feel free to add me.
