  • I have tried this carnivore diet for the last month. Only as an experiment for the month of June. Keto before and will be again after. For what it is worth, no scurvy, no problems with regularity, no hair loss, minor difference in energy levels [ but still able to ride a bicycle 45 miles in a fasted state ], average weight…

  • Planning is easier without options to make it complex ....
  • I am fruit and vegetable free....and grain free as well. Planning meals is so much easier that way....
  • I think it's likely you just wanted twice as many pics of a genuine Raleigh in this post....fair play. Looks good by the way. I was never intending to do a legit resto job, so it seemed fitting to grab something headed for the scrapyard as a starting point. To date I have been unsuccessful at identifying a make / model…
  • first 17 miles on this today!
  • It's Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • That's a good looking bike. Giant puts out a decent product, I have their orc3 from 2007. It has needed some small upgrades, but overall has been good.
  • Doin' my part too bring a little life to this bicycle group......it may be too late for this 1....call it, time 4:44pm 6/6/18.
  • A little paint work on the forks I am calling woven decay. Outside of each leg, is gonna fit well with the theme of this bike when all together.
  • Got through last month with little to no problem! Here is to an AF June next!
  • however you like to interpret this I guess ,lol Not many a driver will call my riding style of bike or m/c passive or defensive....but you pick what ever word you like. There are probably a couple that will fit "kitten" into their description somehow.....and that's fine. I come home intact on the regular.
  • I guess for clarity maybe it is worth adding in the terms proactive, and reactive. I choose to ride in a way that allows me to not be reactive to forces around me.
  • I have found with bicycles, and road riding, the more aggressive I am, the better off I am from a safety perspective. I am not an advocate of passive/defensive m/c riding either though.
  • This not the first time I have heard the safety argument come up. It is a legitimate concern, especially in consideration of motor vehicles. Is it possible there are other aspects involved? Most of the cyclists/mountain bikers I know are male. Most of them in order to make this hobby more cost effective do the majority of…
  • Square drive bottom bracket conversion done....not without some sweat, and swearing, but still done.
  • After stripping the frame, the head tube has no holed drilled for a maker's badge. The hardware seems to be a mix of things.....given the original owner's thoughts it might be a Raleigh, I was thinking Whitworth, as many of the fasteners seem to fall between imperial/metric sizing. A buddy of mine just bought a late 30's…
  • Keto is generally regarded as HIGH fat, moderate protein, and low carb. It's not that you have failed. It's only the first day, but doing a little more research might be good if you want this to work for you.
  • Deadpool
  • It may not be a Raleigh ....is definitely not American though. Am switching out all the Whitworth nuts and bolts to metric as I go through it. And this.....!!!
  • Am waiting for the parts needed to convert the BB from a vintage round spindle with keyed flats to the tapered square drive needed for modern cranks. Should be here early next week. As long as it works I will go ahead and order the rest of the parts needed for this that I already know will work.
  • lol, it's a bit rough right now. Is to be a Fixie when done, not doing a resto on this. Will put some pics up when done.
  • Hi...

  • I don't care for the gym....and have tried several to date. I have found ways to accommodate cardio, and resistance training at home. The downfall for me is most of my workouts are done out of doors, and when the winter hits they are basically impossible. Which is when I will consider the gym again...
  • 1 lb. of Atlantic Salmon fillet, and some bacon fried asparagus.
  • 41, and doin' the Keto thing since the end of March. Down 13.5 lbs. total, and 5 of them since I started tracking with MFP. I will probably experiment with other ideas...short term carnivore now, and again comes to mind. I do think Keto is here to stay as my primary diet. Add me if you like, am always looking for new…
  • Bacon and onions, next to nice fillet Of Large mouth bass I caught this afternoon.
  • Really enjoy this thread....such a variety of food with all the different dietary approaches. Tonight, Liver, with bacon and onions. I know some don't care for this stuff, and I am the only one who eats it in my house. Yet it happens, on purpose.
