Ha ha! Great idea for #1 ! #4 there’s more to it, but it involves wearing a swimsuit in public, and in front of people I’d rather not see me in a swim suit. I know I shouldn’t care, but I’m just not there yet.

1. I do not want to lose weight so I can continue to embarrass my mother 2. I do not want to lose weight because I don’t want anyone to notice I did and comment 3. Because that one woman at work will be mean to me 4. Because I’ll have to the thing I promised someone I’d do when I was thin, thinking I never would be

I didn’t mean to direct it at you, I apologize. It hit a nerve and I thought I saw it headed down a bad road. You did the right thing with her.

My goodness. If your children have any inkling that you feel this way, don’t be surprised if your relationship is strained in the future. This convo is a lovely reminder to me how ashamed my mom was of myself and my sister growing up and how she still “blames herself”. Yet we at the same foods in same amounts as my thin…

That seems to be how it works. If I leave something in my shopping cart while I’m thinking about it, the price always seems to go up when’s get back to it. If you are desperate to get started to you could head over to the Bret Contreras website and print off the free workout training logs. From there you’d have the…

I just bought one on amazon for 20 ish dollars . Just finished my first week of body weight at home segment, went great.

A scale victory actually.I always feel like I am making no progress, but I am actually down 17 pounds since spring. And I thought maybe I could see a hint of a kneecap. Those things have been buried for years.

Your photos are always breathtaking. Thanks for sharing with all. If I ever get in shape, can I hire you to take me there? ( half joking) It would be dream to me, to even see it once in person.

Yes,yes, yessssssss! And say how beautiful it is, and then make everyone say how beautiful it is. And then guess what? I put that s*** right back up in a ponytail.

Years ago I worked at a fitness business. I was bent over cleaning a tanning bed and a customer walked past and caught me checking out my own butt in the mirror.

This is so mean! But on the bright side, you have a pretty face! My face isn’t so great thin, and as I’ve gained it gotten much worse.

I am 210, not 150. The others are saying my goal should be 150, where in a later post I said I did not feel my healthiest at that weight when I was there before . Sorry if that wasn’t clear.
-
I’ve seen you on here before, in my legs post. I think you look beautiful! Always inspiring.

Wow! Loving all the replies! Thanks everyone for your advice, I’ll have to go through these again so I can soak it all in. I’ll definitely shut them down if they pester me again about it. I do value those relationships, but need to set a boundary. It’s always surprises me when others feel so strongly about my stuff ( and…

I tried to avoid it but we’re all close and try to support each other and it came up when I said I would def not be happy in the 150’s, as I’ve been there before and wasn’t feeling as healthy as I’d like.

Children’s clothing has been a burden on me since my first was a year old. I have never been able to get a hold on how much we need, or say no to generous clothing donors. We save handmedowns for the next kid and we make dirty farmy messes too so I always think we need play clothes. I have had mental breakdowns ever the…

We have this at work too. Different lunches provided everyday. Yummy wonderful things. Myself and some others do not go near that room. We bring our own lunches and stay away. It’s not fair to ask them to stop when everyone else is enjoying it and you’re the one who can’t control yourself . Not trying to be mean truly, I’m…

Right now I indoor row, and follow a dumbbell program and it includes many compound movements. I do this three times weekly and it also includes deadlifts, squats, etc. I use dumbbells that are probably light for most but still feel hard for myself. I’ve been watching ads for second hand barbell equipment. It’s not…

@SummerSkier Not to be creepy, but I zoomed in on your before pic, and oh my gosh! Those are very similar to my legs ! Except picture 80 more pounds on them. I’ve never seen legs like mine on anyone else. That gives me much hope. As long as I keep up w the cal count and exercise of course.

You may have all seen my fat legs post, but guess what these fat legs did?! I did a 2 k rowing test today and my goal was under 10 min, and I did it. 9 min 25 sec!

Your entire shape has changed so much! Such a tiny waist and strong beautiful legs! Very inspirational to me.

I’m going to have a listen to this!

Oh, it’s not ankles and calves for me. It’s the entire thing and it gets worse as it moves north. But I do understand what you are saying :)

@motivatedmartha @missysippy930 Thank you for your advice, it does help! The truth is , what keeps me going, is that this is for my health. So though I hate my legs, I’ve no inclination to stop working out/ eating better. But I do get sad when I see these tree trunks. If at least they can become smaller I’ll be okay I…

You worked very hard! Looking wonderful!

@AnnieGottaRun thank you for sharing ! Your legs were cute before, now they are gorgeous! So strong looking, and normal knees! I’m 5’ 5” , so close enough to be relevant, I’ve got 80 pounds or so I’d like to lose though.
-
Looks fantastic already! Thank you for sharing with us. Wish you a speedy recovery!

I had a cup of tea last night while everyone else had root beer floats!
