@besmith11 - π π Congratulations! That's FABULOUS and not silly at all! I made it to that point myself last month, and am now working to get out of the Severely Obese category (just 12 more pounds).15

I bought a bridesmaid dress for my sister in laws wedding months ago. I even bought a size smaller than I was comfortable in knowing I was buckling down on my weight. I just tried it on for a fitting and the seamstress told me I should have bought a smaller size. Totally made my day.31

@workaholic_nurse
I have said this same thing to other NSV belt people: Drill/punch new holes in the belt, putting that over-sized belt on each day is a great reminder of where you have been and how far you have come.15 -
I keep being surprised that there is so much space between the steering wheel and my belly -- several inches! A year ago, there was not much clearance.
I gave up sugar back in March. Last night I was out on a riverbank at twilight and someone was making smores.... and I didn't crave them. It was a lovely part of the scene, but not something I needed to eat. I can remember when that craving would have been automatic, and just a question of whether I would eat 1 or 3. I had had a really awesome dinner, was done with food for the day, and just didn't want/crave any sugar, thanks!25 -

Fitting back into a pair of shorts I had all but given up hope on ever wearing again. They're not quite comfortable yet, but I can at least put them on. Keeping my eye on the prize - wearing my own clothes that I refused to donate, I know I can achieve this....and maintain!25

A scale victory actually.I always feel like I am making no progress, but I am actually down 17 pounds since spring. And I thought maybe I could see a hint of a kneecap. Those things have been buried for years.30

Oh, it's so nice to come back and see all these successes!!
Been AWOL, but now I'm back at it. I had a moment last week that kind of snapped me back into focus. I was chatting with a coworker about how I haven't been working out or eating too healthfully lately and I feel awful. He very sheepishly in the most cautiously way possible said "but you still look very nice" (I think he was afraid my feelings would be hurt or I'd be offended by him looking ). I guess what I realized was although I was struggling, my brain amplified my non-successes. I went back to big fat ol' years-ago me. When in reality, yea, I've gained some body fat back and lost some muscle, but not everything's gone to hell. Not even to heck.28 -
I started logging on September 3rd (that's a victory in itself) and decided to track measurements instead of weight.
My NSV is that I lost more than 3 cms on my waist in September.28 -
With my new diet plan, I'm actually eating 5 servings of veggies per day - sometimes even more ! This is pretty phenomenal for me - LOL29

That when I finally make the decision to keep track of what I eat again, the changes happen pretty quickly - which makes me happy but also frustrated that I don't always want to but it's so easy... Down a few pounds so far and feeling good and healthy!24

Closet shopping today and finding lots of treasures26

I usually work out in the evening, but - despite a night out last night - I fit in my c25k session this morning before check out, because I won't have the chance to fit it in tonight.
On the flipside, my suitcase is now a horror show of how not to pack!21 -
Just joined PF a couple of weeks ago with a plan of 3 times a week. Went 7 times in my first 2 weeks.17

1) Iβm the weight my drivers lisence says
2) went from xxl tee shirts to xl
3) compliments from friends, family, customers taking notice.
4) a jacket I have I can now close it and zip it up.32 -
I didn't feel great in my dress last night but glad I went out. So many people told me how great I was looking, so much happier and stress free these days having started to change my life. The scales have a long long way to go but feeling better and happier is the ultimate nsv.27

Parked remotely. Walked a mile and back to the office.21

I had to take public transportation to work today, which led to two NSVs:
1. Did not take my station but walked to the next, at 6am, in the dark nonetheless.
2. Bought a coffee at the awesome bakery in the station, appreciated all the amazing baked goods - but didn't buy any. I didn't even really want to.
Yay me!36 -
I traveled for 3 1/2 months between December and March. When I came back, most of the clothes I normally wear to church didn't fit anymore. After a long slow weight gain slide of more than one year, that trip was just the last nail on the coffin.
NSV is: I just tried two of them this morning and they fit. A tight fit but not uncomfortable at all.
I haven't been to church since I came back (for a number of reasons not all clothes related) but I'll definitely and thankfully get in one of those dresses to go next Sunday.29 -
After a slowly (re) gaining weight over one year, I traveled for 3 1/2 months between December and March. That trip was just the last nail on the coffin as when I came back I couldn't get into some of the outfits I usually wear to church.
NSV is: I just tried two of those outfits this morning on a whim and they fit!!
