I agree...the tare function has been invaluable. I didn't even know about it when I bought my above scale but fortunately it has it. Love the scale I listed above.

I have not found a way to eat sugar in moderation so a couple of years ago I just cut out all candy, cakes, cookies - anything with sugar. I eat plenty of fruits and so forth. Works for me
-
1 teaspoon walnut oil 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

I find it verrrrrrrrrrrry difficult to stay at 1200. 1400-1500 seems doable even if I loose more slowly.

I cannot have even a tiny bit of sugar or I go off the rails.

I too am a sugar addict and all of your comments have been helpful to me today. Thanks.

I could have written half of these! I actually stopped for about a year and then just one time and bam, I can't stop. Am too, trying to give them up completely. For good. I need help too!

I put mine in the notes at the bottom of the page where you enter what you ate that day.

since it is still early...you could call your doctor and see what he/she advises

I stopped too. Recently though have been drinking perrier. Satisfies the fizzy part.

I save up and have peanut butter either on one slice of rye bread or 3 wasa crackers and a 1/2 to 1 cup of soy milk. Glad to hear I am not the only one who cannot sleep if I don't have my snack at bedtime.

Cardio excercise helps. Drink a lot of water. Concentrate on what you should eat ....some say nine fruits and vegetables . Eat protein and more often.

I cannot have candy because if I start.....oh my. I will never stop. So no, I am not going to have any.Was too hard getting to this point where I no longer crave it. Is anyone else like that- all or none with sweets?

It could be that initially slip ups are part of the process. Look at the research and what it indicates about the number of attempts people must make to stop smoking. It is similar in that you might slip up while you are on your way to getting it right (or right for you)

Yup. Anything with sugar in it!

I go to a nutritionist and other than that, I don't discuss it. I find that some people mistake helpfulness with intrusiveness. And, I don't agree that not discussing it makes one make excuses. Everyone has to find their own path. I am actually very satisfied- I am 55 years old, am 5'2" and weigh 113.

Thanks!

Give yourself permission to go to the gym for 10 minutes and see how you feel after that.
