My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 2 years ago. The beginning was so hard, she wouldn’t shop for new clothes or make any future plans. Now it’s been 2 years, she’s still working full time & gets treatment every 3 weeks. The new normal and we just take it week by week. The beginning is a stressful waiting game.…

I do! This was just what the back of my package said. I used 120 calories worth, will prob go down to 60 calories / day for the future.
-
Maybe I’m using way too many! A 1/4 cup serving of mine is 180 calories
-
Thanks! I’ll just continue adding a little to my protein shakes
-
I was down about 30lbs already before the first pic.. but this is a 1 month difference. I didn’t really notice the progress until I compared pictures!
-
We 100% have to work out to make up for those bigger meals some days, or having a few drinks. I’m worried how much I will gain on vacation.
-
I forgot about the fit bit tracking your daily expenditure! Do you find it pretty accurate?
-
That’s great! I’m hoping to build enough muscle to do this as well!
-
I’ll look into this for sure! 115 was always my perfect weight pre kids. Now I feel different, but I think I need to tighten up.
-
Thanks! I really wish we could eat more calories!

I’m 4”11 and currently at 116 from 150. (Pre kids, this was the weight I was happy at but now my love handles and belly are still there) .. my new goal weight is 110.
-
Thanks, that what I was wondering. It is on May 6th

Thanks for the calculation.. good to know, not sure how accurate my fit bit is. My plan is a combo of running / walking until I can build back up to it. I get about an hour on my days off work without kids, so I’ll see how I do. I just love my new muscle tone and don’t want to lose it. Wasn’t sure if adding more calories…

I could run 5k in July, but haven’t ran since then. I have stayed in shape though with cardio so I’ll have to see. I am in a pretty decent deficit right now. I have about 7 more lbs of weight loss to reach my goal. I am eating 1200 calories / day, but my height is 4”11. Maintenance in the past for me (with no exercise had…

Is C25K a beach body program? I was going to start the new transformation 20 in April but, if I start running 5 miles 4 days a week and lifting slightly less , will it deplete my muscle?
-
110 is my final goal.. I’m thinking 0.5lbs a week is what I have to work for now at 1200 calories since I am only 4’11. I also work night shift, rarely sleep and have been weight lifting 4x a week.
-
Thank you! As long as that end trend starts to go down again and not up... I added a little more carbs back in my diet but am still in my calories.
-
I think your right, I’m down 33 lbs with this process since last April and almost at my goal, but I just can’t seem to get there. I need to have more realistic weight loss goals each week now I think
-
I lost a lot in the first 3 weeks then it slows, but I’m def happy with my progress. I measure every thing I eat with a food scale.. I’ll try the happy scale, see if I can understand my fluctuations and keep at it. Thanks
-
Thank you for this!! Good to know things can change a little. I’m looking forward to learning how to do maintenance and watching my body change..I appreciate you looking out - I am 4”11 and just reached my high end BMI (went from a size 10 to 4) I am working on weight lifting now to tighten my stomach area, but will start…
-
Your so right! Most of the people saying it don’t really seem happy that I’ve done well losing!
-
Thanks everyone, appreciate the advice.. my logging could definitely improve. For instance, I use tbsp for my oils and I don’t measure my eggs, etc. I will try to get more accurate and see if I’m eating more than I think . I think I’m also at the point where my weight is just going to drop really slow to reach my goal like…

Thanks for the article, it makes total sense. No matter how much I know it’s normal, it’s so discouraging to eat at 1200 calories for a week and not lose a thing. I’m sure my height doesn’t help either
-
If I can’t weigh something, I estimate High, but I usually weight 90%. I think maybe I should eat at 1200-1300 and not weigh myself for a week or so to see. Last time I gained 0.5 and have lost .5 consistently eating 900-1000 but I am trying to figure out how to start working towards maintenance
-
I do use a food scale to measure things, but I do only have 10lbs to lose
-
I lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks. The last 8 days I have been in the same routine and diet but gained a lb. I am lifting weights with a little bit of HIIIT 4 days a week which could be why also. I’ll just keep at it how I’m going and see if it helps. I was talking to a trainer who swears by carb cycling while you calorie count, so…

I need some new motivation!! SW (150) CW (121) GW (110) I am just about 5 feet tall, so currently on the higher end of my normal BMI. At this point for my height and weight, it takes me about 3 weeks to lose a lb, only eating 1200 calories a day, so it can be a little discouraging. I just started a lifting program, so…

True! More of a goal I’m trying to be more conscience of. The meatballs were fresh from a local farm, but I do eat processed cheese and more stuff. I’m trying to avoid the processed sugars I used to eat a lot and get most of my sugars from fruit or veggies. I did drop 1.8 lbs after gaining for 4 days, and my Muscles are…

I’ve been weighing my meat with a food scale, everything else I use measuring cups or spoons. I continued to gain slightly the last few days, but I have been working out a lot.. I’m hoping it’s related to the sore muscles and I’ll drop a little the end of the week. My typical day is usually between 1000-1200 calories ..…
