  • Sometimes dental issues can cause a bad taste... just a thought if you’ve exhausted all other possibilities
  • Urghhhh ok I’m deleting I thought I was being helpful
  • I just use my iPhone to step track but walk a lot for work and notice I’m ravenous those days do an extra 100 helps
  • I hate that show... They encourage crazy kcal deficits and ridiculously excess exercise; no wonder the poor people have negative experiences post show both physically (and mentally I suspect)
  • Lifting heavy and ab exercises (v sits and ab throw downs mainly) have helped my stomach look more toned and my waist is more defined after 6 weeks. I’ve not lost weight yet as I’m only eating a tiny cut but it’s certainly an improvement

  • In the U.K. Alpro whole bean is a good unsweetened one. I find the sweetened ones tast like over sweet milkshake in comparison
  • I think you pick and choose but I know other will comment or make a fuss if I don’t eat much and then I never know what to say as if I say I’m dieting they’ll then make a fuss a out that and I find it really awkward
  • Spray tan and a sarong/& maxi skirt or two are my holiday essentials
  • Might be worth upping your iron rich foods, even at non clinical levels I understand low iron can lead to some general fatigue symptoms. I’ve especially experienced this round my cycle.
  • I’d really suggest focusing on healthy weight loss rather than this potential minuscule change Significant lack of food and consequently significantly low blood sugar will negatively impact on both mood and wellbeing.

  • I think restriction full stop is bad for recovery from ed. If you’re still trying to lose weight or maintain an unnatural body weight for your build you’re not truly in recovery Counting kcal can be part of the initial stages to ensure you eat at recovery guideline levels which are in significant excess of ww as your body…
  • You can get powered pb which is suppose to be good although I’ve not tried it . It’s low fat and I know several body builders who use it Search on amazon as I don’t know if I'm allowed to post link here
  • Yep I’m with you; I’m only going to weight once a month/ couple of months as my weight loss goal is very similar and I’m lifting so I feel my progress is very hard to see but potentially very easy to sabotage if I’m feeling unmotivated by the scale
  • Sugar free gum for lift off and landing to help my popping ears
  • I’d guess moderately active and log extra effort days where you’re gardening as your burn on those days will be significantly higher And log your exercise too to make sure you’re eating enough
  • I crave sugar when I’m dehydrated ... throw back to drinking squash when I was a kid I think
  • Dry skin brushing; you can get the brushes at places like body shop. I’ve never done it for cellulite but if I do remember it’s great for gentle exfoliating and soft skin
  • I take a skin supplement which is suppose to increase collagen which I like to believe helps my facial wrinkles but I’m aware that’s possibly a bit of wishful thinking But what has defo improved the skin on my legs is lifting. After just shy of 2 months lifting heavy my legs are definitely much smoother and firmer and…
  • I think from my basic nursing knowledge the more dehydrated you are the lower your bp and so likely the less prominent your veins as your blood mass is less
  • I maintain with intuitive eating and do find it really helps create a positive relationship with food for me. My body seems good at eating what it needs when and I eat a varied balanced diet. It did take a while to learn again to eat intuitively and I did gain some weight at that point which later dropped away naturally…
  • Thank you having a bit of a tough week Much appreciate the mfp community wisdom

  • I’d maybe suggest eating and if you need to tracking at maintaince for a while, consider the triggers for binges when you’re not restricting and lookat ways to address them , set up a healthy but realistic exercise schedule, tweak your macros and practise healthy habits that will set a foundation for losing later. Only then…
  • Thanks everyone I stayed on track and didn’t give in to temptation. I think it was half bad food choices (empty kcal) half being ravenous post two days lifting. Today’s a new day and a rest day so I’m feeling positive and have much more healthy menu planned :-)

  • I use well woman max- it’s three pills an omega, calcium one and micronutrient one per day. I’m not qualified to advise on the science but personally I seem to have felt better for taking them and my skins looks clearer and my pmt is not as bad
  • I had the mirena for 5 years, It neither made me gain or lose and while I did secretly hope I’d lose weight on its removal alas no scales stayed the same I have felt healthier generally in my body since it was removed but my pmt has come back and is horrid so it’s all pros and cons
  • Cardio on Saturdays and Sundays and I’m sleepy and a little more nibbly but stick with my kcal Lifting mid week I feel like I could eat a horse! Even after upper body I’ve decided to eat at tdee on lifting days as that’s better planned than an unplanned binge. Plus at least I’ll recomp even if Im terrible at cutting!!
