  • This is so awesome you guys and I appreciate the responses!
  • The fiber one brownies are awesome and 90 cals
  • I use a weight tracking app, and this has helped me a lot. I see the patterns with my weight fluctuations and when I see that I have always met my calorie goal but have an increase of any kind, I KNOW it will come off. I seem to stay right about the same and then gain 1-2lbs and within 2 days, I'll drop the gain and the…
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy is not something that can be "taught" in a conference. You have have learned techniques which are helping you, but I am worried that you speak as if you find yourself "cured". You have gone the complete flip side of where your diet (presumably) was, which is also not healthy. My (internet)…
  • I am a chronic binge in recovery, so I am unable to do this. If I "save up" my calories it turns into a free for all. And if I go over for the day then my brain is like "your already over, so adding this 900 calorie trip to dairy queen isnt that bad" and I can eat away weeks worth of progress. If it works for you, more…
  • The other day I had a donut for breakfast and then a donut for lunch and a normal dinner, I still lost my 2lbs this week. I felt like crap the next day honestly, but my office had a party and they are the best donuts ever made. So I fit both donuts in my daily calories and moved on. If you only can eat "bad" foods, then…
  • Mine counted vacuuming as a workout this morning also. But considering it was about 40 minutes and 2500 steps to vacuum my house, I'll take it!
  • I naturally do this now that I listen to my body about when I'm actually hungry. I usually stop eating around 7 or 8 PM and then I eat lunch around 11 or 12 the next day. I'm not a breakfast person so i dont waste the calories on it, I just haven't joined the bandwagon to make a big deal about it.
  • I've learned I used to eat a lot of things just because other people were eating them. Or staff potlucks! I dont like half that random crap but would take it because it was there, not anymore!
  • I'm slightly confused. So I should continue my weight loss, calorie deficit, doing cardio and strength training until I reach my weight goal. THEN i would begin eating at a maintenance or surplus to do a body recomp?
  • Did you do mfp recommended and then exercise cals or which method did you use?
  • My versa also prompts me when I have not gotten steps every hour, so if this goes off I take a trip to the bathroom, get some water and take a lap around my office. I am getting around 10k steps on non work out days and about 16k on workout days, so I think it is working!
  • I gained 15lbs when healing from an ankle fracture that put me non weight bearing for 12 weeks. But, all I did was sit on my deck and read 50 shades 😂. Theres a guy at my gym that is on a knee scooter from some sort of ankle/foot fracture and hes there everyday. The hardest part would be getting on/off machines I would…
  • I'm excited for all the similar stats replies!
  • I am very happy with my versa. Today I discovered it has automatic detection of exercise, which I didnt realize before. I've taken it in the lake and tubing without issue. I still cant figure out the syncing so I have unsynced it which frustrates me but I think it's just my issues.
  • Are you eating back exercise calories? We have basically the same stats, except I started at 210 and I'm only to 190 now.
  • I am 5'2" (on a good day) and struggle with how I can see every pound but I'm nearly 20lbs lighter and hardly anyone has mentioned. My goal is 1450 a day plus half my exercise calories. What about you?
  • My stride length is 21", I tested it quite a few ways so I did change my fitbit to that stride length. It was set at 25". But even today, I have 12500 steps and it is adding a HUGE amount of calories. I just dont know if it's worth it to have it synced vs just logging exercise calories like I had been so I stop worrying…
  • Thanks for the awesome help and questions! I have MFP set to lightly active for a activity level. Which is why I am mainly concerned about how many calories its giving me beyond that. I have not ever walked a mile and confirmed it was a mile, I will do that today and see what I get. My daily burn graphs are always right on…
  • I am 27 year old female.
  • My husband says the same things, and I'm down almost 20 lbs. This is about you, not him. In one month do you want to be 10lb lighter or do you want to be where you are now?
  • I almost posted this question. I am only making it through because I'm shamelessly keeping a huge chunk of calories for ice cream. I'm not hungry during this week I am just wanting to eat crap. I am keeping it within my calorie goals and today is the least amount of steps I've had since this time last month, but hey, we…
  • Exactly my thoughts. It's just a fun morning routine that I like to participate in! And the shakes are all 20g protein, under 215 calories and are about 50 options. It's pretty cool actually.
  • I think I'm the only one who is using a food scale and tracking things very consistently. The others are down a little weight, but I'm ahead :)
  • So is your daily activity set to sedentary or lightly active plus your exercise cals?
  • This is me. I've just re lost the same 10lbs from my last cheat meal about 4 months ago. I like to fit my "cheats" into my daily or weekly. I ate half a pizza tonight, all 960 calories of it, and I am still 50 under my daily limit. It was glorious.
  • I have mine set to lightly active with 1500 cals and then I'm deciding if/when to eat back the exercise calories. I average 10k steps a day without deliberate exercise and that is pretty consistent. It's ridiculous how much I am thinking if how many calories to eat or not eat haha
  • Do you all log walking as an exercise? I was reading another thread where they said that they dont. I do not count my like daily steps as walking but if I, walk the dog or walk to the park with my kiddos, I do count that as exercising. Thoughts?
  • I appreciate you dealing with my questions! Thank you!
  • That 311 was what my fitbit said I burned during the exercise. The machine said like 280 or something similar. They are syncing now, but the burn or "added" calories seem so much. It seems like I'm getting an additional 600+ calories on days I'm getting 8000+ steps in, workout or no. So if I would eat back half of those,…
