Sometimes you have to fail hard to see that certain paths aren't the best. I did this many times. Let her make her mistakes and be there when she needs a friend to vent/cry to.

Wow that is an amazing transformation!

I am 5ft 7in around 140 lbs and with a high intensity workout (I work out with a small group at a private gym for 45-60 min) and I tend to burn around 350-400 cals. I would invest in a HRM watch whenever possible.

Thank you all very much. This was so helpful! Y'all are the best :)

I have one day a week (normally Sunday) when I don't track my intake which helps me chill out a little bit. But I don't feel like I am starving myself throughout the week either so I don't necessarily think about food to often unless I am hungry and I also don't pig out on Sunday either because I make room for moderate…

I weigh myself daily because the number on the scale normally won't affect me negatively unless 3 or 4 weeks pass without progress which has not happened yet (because I am consistent).

There's no way I could do exercises at my desk. I walk as much as I can (instead of emailing short message I walk to a co workers desk to relay message, etc.) and walk for about 30 minutes during my lunch break. I don't need the full hour to eat my lunch. I make sure I am very active outside of work until I go to bed. This…

You look great. Congrats :)

My last low weigh in was 5/13. I only see low weigh ins about 1x a month and it is to be expected since I am very close to my goal weight. Also, I didn't start off with a lot of weight to lose. The weight definitely fluctuates throughout the week. It depends on the types of food I intake (even if I am under my daily cal…

I ate large amounts of fruits when I decided that counting calories was not for me a few years back. I thought that as long as I ate 'healthy foods' mostly, my body would react the way I wanted. Although I did not gain back the 10 pounds I had lost via counting cals, it was very difficult to maintain my weight and…

I haven't ready other responses but yes, protein shakes are the worst. I feel like I have tried them all and none are worth it to me. Now, I try to get my protein from food and if I don't hit my target, oh well. I'd rather do that than be completely miserable everyday trying to eat/drink something I don't enjoy.

My routine is decided for me by my gym. Although I pick whether I attend a HIIT day or Lift day, all the exercises are random (to me). Lots of fat burning and lots of hard work.

I have similar issues and have sports bras from various place. My problem, I believe, is more so due to buying the wrong size. I'm a medium in everything and it never occurred that I might just be a large in sports bras.

I don't drink them at all.

My MIL does this quite a bit. I personally know that she is unhappy with her weight so everyone is right... they do make these comments in order to feel better about themselves. Shut them down and move on with your progress. Don't let them get to you!

Thank you all! I am looking into these tonight and will probably do some window shopping on Ebay or Poshmark if I do decide on the Lulus. Has anyone tried Gymshark by any chance?

Way to go! That's a crazy difference

Crazy progress! Way to go

Only on Saturday mornings when I go to the gym at 9am. I don't eat until around 11-12 normally. Eating early makes me sick. I don't do it purposely because I feel lightheaded afterwards.

I have one bottled water in the mornings with some BCAAs in it. I don't care what the BCAAs do/don't do. About 20 calories per scoop and I only really need half the scoop, so 10 cals. It's tasty and weirdly helps me drink more water throughout the day.

I don't think protein drinks at all because they are nasty to me. I've tried many brands and many different flavors. So that is one option! Probably not a popular one.

Do you mean the Lenny and Larry cookies? Because same. I had been eating them as a night snack for WEEKS before realizing I was eating two servings instead of one. Never had them again.

Ok, so in an effort of not getting lost I'm going to repeat the process back to you guys. I'm on my work computer, so normally I'd have some screenshots but I can't do that here. Step 1: I go to "recipes" in the food tab Step 2: Click on "Enter new recipe" Step 3: Enter recipe name (Homemade Cake) Step 4: Add ingredients…

The biggest eye opener for me was when I went to Europa (fitness expo) and meeting all these girls I admired on Instagram. They looked incredibly different than their pictures online. It was a great lesson learned for me, as I had tried very hard to look like them for a large portion of that year. My daughter is almost 7…

I eat sweets daily. Helps me not over indulge on weekends or special occasions because it is not a food group I am restricting. Do whatever helps you stay on the journey long term.

Even if they don't hinder my progress, I can't bring myself to drink sodas like I do water. I only drink one diet soda can a week.
