No problem - I am allergic to most fish so I rarely get it. When I do it's because there were no options. We're near New Orleans folks - every dish has some kind of seafood in it - Lol Even Eggplant stacks have a crab and shrimp sauce at New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood (a local restaurant). I try to stick to the veggies.

Not hard core but I do try to go the vegetarian route whenever the opportunity arises.

Thanks ya'll. Really appreciate seeing how other people "rest". I did workout Saturday and had a nap that afternoon. I think Sunday will be my rest day since that's our church and getting ready for the week day. I will probably do like several of ya'll do and still get a gentle walk or do a Yoga relaxation dvd. Thanks…

I have a very thin hubby who trys to be supportive in a sideways controlling way so I can relate. Here's what I do. Go straight to the gym on the way home, do not pass Go! Pack your gym clothes the night before and most importantly do this for you. Once he starts seeing your results he might just get inspired and join you.…

That's the first time it ever happened. Hopefully the only time.

Thanks everyone for all your tips and encouragement! I think it's just been a hard week physically. My allergies were on overload so I took Wed. off from the gym took a benadryl and went straight to bed as soon as I got home from work and then on Friday when I woke up I was feeling better so I took a nice long full body…

Thank you! Even though I have tried this before I still feel like a newbie. I appreciate your advice!

Thank you! Great advice. I will take it to heart. May will be the time to weigh everything. That and continuing my workouts. I have been on 3 food programs in my life. Not diets but "lifestyle changes " The first was an allergy rotation diet which was insanely hard to follow because I was allergic to everything. But I lost…

Sorry so long

I really like what was said about discipline. Took that to heart this weekend. I think when my father-in-law is with us I will need to be one of the early folks at the gym. I will re-adjust my schedule so that I get to bed early as he goes to his room early anyway and just make it my discipline to get up early and hit the…

BTW I just skimmed through my food diaries for this week and my Fiber was only half of goal on most days. I know where I need to focus. Thanks again!

Thanks ya'll. I just updated my MFP columns - took sugar out and now have a Fiber column. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for all your suggestions ya'll are AWESOME!

Thanks everyone for your posts. I am trying not to go over the pre-diabetic line. We have a biometric screening coming up in December and I want to make sure I am not borderline diabetic like last time. At my age (57) it's not about losing weight although that is a very nice side effect it is more about being healthy.…

Had to buy my first cocktail dress for my niece's wedding. Even though the scale is not showing a big change I am down one full dress size! Yes indeed!!!

Doing good with the gym still working on the food part. How about you?

I actually made it to Spin this morning. Yay! Thanks for the tips. We don't eat alot of meat but I am sure there are some vegetarian recipes for crockpot. I do use my pressure cooker on weekends when we slow down long enough to fix a big meal and then eat on leftovers. Hopefully the energy will kick in soon from all the…

Wow - nobody....

Thanks Ann - Can you save certain circuits as a workout so I don't have to keep entering it each time. Although they like to mix it up so that probably wouldn't work either. It was more like stations. We started by slamming a Weighted ball 8 lbs. 20 sec rest 10 sec then 12 lbs., then next was ab work - scissors, then step…

Needed this advice and the previous person who goes to bed at 9:30. There is a Spin class that I've been wanting to work into my gym schedule but it's at 5 am which means get up at 4:30 then after gym shower, fix breakfast and bring lunch and get out the door to work by 7:30. Sometimes we overthink it or as I am guilty of…

Thanks ya'll!

No athletes foot here. I will try the tea bags and newspapers. Thanks ya'll!

My son is getting married in January 2020. I need to loose at least 50 pounds . Don't want to be immortalized as the BIG mother of the groom. I would like to look fit.

Nope - we're a two person branch and she better not be hiring cuz I'm the other person - Lol

Thank you for your post. I just posted a similar question. I have been walking 10k steps and doing a 1 hour workout at the gym everyday except Tues/Sun. I lost 5 pounds very quickly and then nothing. BUT my clothes are much looser and things are tightening up. So I am happy with the results but that number on the scale…

Thanks - I worked on getting the exercise to be routine and now I'm jumping into tweaking the food part of this. I will try to up the calories by 1/2 my exercise. Still a bit of a newbie. Thx again.

I am a Cinderella Pumpkin and out by 10 pm - Lol

I do take Tuesday and Sunday as rest days from the gym because I have choir and church those days. I do the walking daily because it keeps me consistent. I'm doing better now. I think it's just an adjustment period and although I don't have a HIGH amount of energy it is slowly getting better. I used to go the gym after…
