I'm doing a 16:8 fast, with an 18:6 on occasion. I did just start a fasting group for women doing 16:8 and 5:2, that I'd be happy to send you an invite for! We have about 90 members, all women who are doing weekly weigh-ins, sharing their tips and tricks, and we always welcome questions from people curious about starting!…

I posted about IF before and got just roasted (by a few people who I have blocked in this thread even). If you aren't posting about calorie deficits, it's considered a pseudoscience, unfortunately. If you want, you can add me. :) I've been doing the 16:8 for almost a month and will be jumping to OMAD starting in February!…

I have a group designated for women that do either 16:8, 5:2 or other various IF's. If you want to join, just shoot me a friend request. We have about 90 members right now, and people are sharing what works for them, what doesn't and we weigh-in weekly to stay accountable. If you're interested, I'm happy to add you! Best…

I did this same type of post, OP and I will tell you that people who don't IF will tell you constantly that you have to be in a calorie deficit - which is fine. I'll add you and we can discuss it further, since the forums aren't the best platform for this (as you'll soon find). I'm on day like 16-18 (can't keep track) of…

I added a bunch of you! <3

I'm glad! You can do this! Hang in there and don't give up!
-
I am just seeing this now! I'm sorry the link didn't work - I will send an invite for those that were interested. You should be able to view it under 'groups' in the community tab. Thanks guys!

I'll add you! It'll be great to see you on your journey - stick with it! 7 days is a good streak!

When I started clean eating for IF, I had a lot of issues with whenever I ate something that was 'unhealthy' or 'greasy' it would shoot right through me, you aren't alone OP. I just paid attention specifically to what I ate, I keep a journal, and would revisit what all I had eaten. Usually it was undrained meat my…

I have been doing IF for 14 days now, and am down 13 pounds - I have been doing the 16:8 or 18:6 fast, and then watching what I eat during my eating window. If you skip breakfast normally, I would recommend it! I feel better, more clear headed and I can see the weight starting to come off my mid-section!
-
I've been doing a 16:8 fast but transitioning to an 18:6 with 24 hour fasts every two days - I'll add you! Let's get fit, together!
-
I've added everyone from this thread that was interested in joining. Just go to 'group's and it should be right at the top of your list! Can't wait to see you there!

WONDERFUL - thank you!

I have been doing it for 8 days now, and have lost about 11 pounds, so I can attest to it working. I have been cutting my intake of food down, and staying away from anything processed (not that they don't sneak in there). It's all about hydration and moderation for me! I work later in the day so 12-8PM are my times for…

There isn't a lot of research out there, so that's why I'm aiming at creating a group so people can share their real-life experiences. I will make sure you're added! Welcome!

Sounds great! I will do that! :)

I've read somewhere that when your body is dehydrated it also craves sweet foods, so try to drink water or other low-calorie/zero-calorie drinks to stave off that craving. Another thing I read too (I'm a sweets person myself!) was that having a sweet in the morning helps to curb some of your cravings throughout the day, so…

I'm doing a 16:8 IF right now and am on day 8! It was really hard to get used to the first couple of days, and then it just has become second nature. I'm re-evaluating my relationship with food for sure (I'm an emotional eater) and now look forward to eating when appropriate versus binging whenever I wanted, haha. If you…

I'm sorry to hear that it did not work well for you. :disappointed: I hope that you find something that works great for you, and I wish you the best of luck in your fitness ventures!

Ooh, sweets are my downfall as well! If you need someone to help keep you motivated, or to talk to during your process, I'd be happy to help! :) I'm on MFP pretty much every single day, and have been doing an Intermittent Fast myself. It's a lot of work, but it's going to be so worth it! I'll send you a friend request!

Hey Jo! I'm Anna from the US and I've got about 60 pounds to lose myself - I would be happy to help motivate you and be there if you need someone to talk to or help you get back on track. :) I'll send you a friend request!

I got one as a gift and didn't think that I would get any use out of it, but it is my absolute favorite thing. You can make a whole meal in one pot, in about a half an hour! Frozen chicken breasts (for those days you forget to pull something to thaw) to fall apart deliciousness in about 12 minutes cook time! Would…

I added you too! I'm doing IF with a 16:8 schedule, fasting from 8PM- 12PM. You can do this!

Day 3 of IF and trying to keep my calories under 1200. If it wasn't winter in Wisconsin I'd be out for a walk, but I don't think I can brave the cold!
-
Don't worry about it! Seriously - just allow yourself to feel bad for overeating (because you will either way), accept that feeling and let it pass. A few days off the wagon for a holiday isn't the end of the world, so just let it go and keep pushing forward! 2019 will be a great year!
-
@QueenJustineJay - I am on day 3 already, but I'm super ready to have someone else join in! It's never too late to start!!!
-
@CharlieBeansmomTracey - I totally agree! I'm keeping my diet restricted to 1200 calories or less per day, making sure to cut out excess sugars (I have a sweet tooth) and making sure to keep my no-calorie liquid intake high to make sure I stay hydrated! I think a lot of my issues have been due to dehydration. Our bodies…

@rubyjessicasmith1 - Which one?? I'm using Vora right now, but all it does it track how long I've been fasting. I've been curious about others!
-
@faeriedanielle - Thank you so much! I really REALLY appreciate it!
-
@jm122014 - I have been SUPER curious about the science behind it, but there really aren't a lot of studies done on it, especially for women. Most of the studies I've found have to do with rats, moreso than humans - which as we know are very different! I decided to just be a guinea pig for 30 days and blog my…
