Exercise – what’s it for? What does it do for you? The official title for today is “Cannot Achieve Goals with Exercise Alone” But that begs the question – What is your goal? Whatever your goal – weight loss/gain/maintenance, fat loss/muscle gain, increased fitness, dealing with medical issues, dealing with mental health…

What day is today? Non-Scale Victory Day!!! @enlightenme3 shared this fun graphic previously and since I liked it I'll continue to use it for the 15th. Did anyone get BINGO? What was your NSV this past month?
-
What was your favorite NSV from yesterday? Is it something you've experienced in the past or is it something you'd like to have as a future goal?

Ramen soup w/pork, bok choy & Shiitake mushrooms.
-
Oven roasted potatoes and Hake fish. Salad of romaine, tomatoes, olives and cucumber spritzed with olive oil/
-
Prime ribeye and potatoes au gratin. These were both from Costco and I don't usually buy prepared food but there is no way we can manage the 15 lb bag of potatoes available there (we barely manage a 5lb bag in two weeks) so we went with the only prepared potatoes available. They are OK but not something I'd buy again.
-
Andouille sausage, great northern beans, leftover polenta w/parm and sautéed power greens.
-
Pasta w/meat sauce, salad & red wine.
-
I'm fine with staying with this team.

@acpgee I read the Guardian at times and have seen his columns and it's not unusual to see comments about the excessive ingredient list. I think if you use the ingredients regularly it's not so much of a problem but you probably have the same issue I do when cooking for two. One can have only so many leftovers before…
-
@acpgee ... how was the food at Ottolenghi? I have one of his cookbooks and everything sounds so delicious but he sure does like to include a lot of ingredients so I've never made any of his recipes. Leftover leg of lamb from Wednesday (which was even tastier this time around), polenta w/parm, Brussel sprouts and salad of…
-
Oven roasted leg of lamb with rosemary, mashed potatoes and salad of romaine, cherry tomatoes & two kinds of olives spritzed with olive oil.
-
Black cod, rice w/seasoning and salad of mixed greens, radicchio and olives which I dressed with a bit of ponzu and sesame oil.
-
Nachos variation: chips, queso fresco cheese, chicken thighs simmered in Mexican inspired spices and cherry tomatoes.
-
We went out for Indian food. This was our first visit to this place and it was excellent so we'll be going back soon. Mixed vegetable pakora, talapia, dosa (spicy potato) and goat curry with rice. We also had garlic naan (but I forgot to take a photo).

Went out for dinner last night for the first time in three weeks (trying to recover from all the restaurant meals during our move). Wedge salad and seared Ahi tuna.
-
Spaghetti w/seafood mix (shrimp, calamari, bay scallops & mussels) with tomatoes and olive oil. Caesar salad.
-
Leftover short ribs from last night with rice and sautéed power greens. Short ribs were simmered for about an hour and were a lot more tender tonight than last night. Rice dressed with ponzu, rice seasoning and wasabi powder. Greens sautéed in sesame oil with a bit of soy sauce. My partner did dinner tonight and he tends…

Ramen w/beef short ribs and mushrooms. Usually we go with pork for ramen but Costco had prime short ribs (and no steak which is what we wanted to get) so we decided to try it with ramen. It was pretty good.
