You can get back up again!! You got this!!!! Thank you for sharing that, I hope you find the strength to continue on even though you hit a bump and it took you a bit to get up. You got up. Be proud of that and keep it up. I might not have gone through any major weight loss, but we all mess up, get stressed, do the human…

OK, yes, I realize everything burns calories. I just meant... Does it burn a considerable amount that should make me keep track, increase calories, etc.

I agree the app is subjective and wish it had more activities to log! Also, as far as tracking running calories, it's x .6? Bringing up what @AnnPT77 said about walking being .3 x miles x body weight. So if I ran a mile today: .6 x 1 x 123 (current weight) = 73.8 However, doesn't that change based on intensity? What if I…

These are all very helpful. So I downloaded an app that has you plug in your weight, duration, and physical activity you did. If someone has experience with it or wants to check it out, please let me know what you think about it: does it seem accurate, would you use it, etc? Thanks in advance.…

Isn't there a function on your goal settings for maintain? If you put your current weight as your goal weight, it should automatically put your calories at maintain.

All of these pizza pictures...!!! 😭 Noreenmarie1234, those are mesmerizing.

This was really insightful. I also find myself performing better mentally and with more energy when I eat the right things. The right things for me are often what clean eaters might consider "clean" versus "unclean". (However, I think when the term "unclean" is introduced, it brings some controversy. So maybe clean eating…

I do 3 sets of 8 for curls and hammer curls. Reverse curls, too. I personally do 25 lbs on a good day. Barbell curls are great, too.

Oh, and I also think hill sprints are great. I've been doing those, too.

What about jump ropes? I knowy calves are always sore after that. If you get bored with singles, try and learn how to double under if you haven't already. Some rope workouts: 1000 single unders for time. 30 min EMOM, 30 double unders each round. Hope this helps! Oh, and I've heard the genetics thing. I often thought my…

Awesome! This makes sense. I mean, we burn more calories earlier in the day, right? So the energy from the big breakfast were utilized more than the ones eaten at dinner. Plus, with more calories, more energy, more energy, more calories burned. It's a good cycle when you start the day with plenty of energy to use!

I used to do this. when I first started, I would go into the pantry and just take out a chip. Then a little later I might take something from the cereal. After all... It's just one little thing, right, so not a big deal? But I make sure I track absolutely everything now. My reason? I want to stick with mfp for a long time…

That's a great thing to add, that limiting what you eat can actually REMOVE some essential nutrients. I also think it's smart to add the things we need instead of restricting ourselves from the "bad" stuff. Thanks for your input!!

😂 Same. But can the unclean get clean if you just dust it off? 🤷
-
Wow, thank you for sharing. That makes sense how labeling things as clean and unclean can be a big pitfall for anxiety and not following through with goals when eating.

[/quote] Some people like to focus on eating more whole foods and less processed stuff. I am vegetarian and although you can be a veggie and eat junk, I try my best to eat a mostly plant based (non-junk) diet. That's sort of what I think "clean eating" is. ... Another reason I attempt to eat "clean" is because I'm a volume…
