  • You may friend me if you like. My diabetes is way out of control and I just am starting insulin. I've been on and off of here. Recently here I've lost about 13 but I lost some before I came back to mfp. I also just had gall bladder surgery which could be one of the reasons it is so out of control right now.
  • My mini goal is to lower my diabetes which is high right now and to get this water weight off because my feet are swelling up at night. I just had surgery and they put a lot of fluids in me.
  • I had to think about this as I've just started again. My blessing is that I'm trying again and my new medicine, Ozempa (not spelled right) has helped me feel fuller. I'm also blessed to have Jesus in my heart and I know he is with me always even on bad days.

  • I bought a food scale today for $8 at our local dime store.
  • No I eat fruit and veggies. Its more of restricting my sugar. My sweettooth has been acting up.
  • Okay I'm going to get a scale as soon as I have chance. I've also decided to detox from sugar for awhile. I feel like my sweettooth is getting out of control again. The last time I measured myself I didn't see any difference but I'm needing to do it again.
  • I've been using like the palm of your hand or a deck of cards way of checking. Those kind of measurements they talk about in the exchange program I do believe. Thats what they told me to use at Tops.
  • I had meant to get one but I never got around to it. Most things I measure like with a cup or something like that. The calories are by the serving on the box or label. You don't need to weigh that. Meats and cheeses are probably the biggest problem. Can you find one at the dollar store?

  • Yes to all except I havent weighed my food. I don't have a scale. I judge use my best judgement. I've lost like almost 70 pounds doing it this way but all of the sudden it just dead stopped.

  • I do have a recumbent exercise bike I use sometimes, but I like to try and walk if its nice outside.
  • I just a doctor and I get shots my knees, but I really need knee surgery. I want to be able to walk on trails and stuff so bad.
  • Personally, I think the good will outway the bad. I can deal with wings if I can fit into a booth and walk about with being out of breath. I'm also working on toning so hoping that will help.

  • Okay, thats basically what I've been doing is making my best guess. My friend took me out today and I was pretty hungry. I only ate half a sandwich and a cup of soup but the calories still added up. I am going to get a food scale soon for here. Where do you get one of those?
  • Unless your on a keto diet where your limiting your carbs under 30, it is calories that really matter in the long run. You still have to watch them even if you count carbs. I am not eating too many carbs because a lot of them are high calorie and I tend to binge on breads for example. I also love mashed potatoes and pasta…
  • Coffee helps me some and also I like to suck on a sugar-free hard candy sometimes.
