Thanks! In general, I'm not really enjoying MFP. There's too much stuff everywhere. For example, I dont want an extra click or two to enter 100 cals. I ate a bananna. I don't even want to record the bananna. Just want to subtract the 100 and see cals remaining. The recipe import feature looks useful and I may use that…

I would if I knew how. :)

4 days. 3 pounds. :-D

53. Text often but I dislike it. Prefer phone or face to face.

Welcome. Hope you're out of your plateau soon. I watched some youtube WW vlogs. How many calories per point?
-
Welcome. I hear you. I saw myself on a security camera and thought Wow. Too big. Sorry for the deaths in your family. That is hard. Here's to taking back control!
-
Howdy. I joined this week as well.
-
Welcome and congrats on getting started! I joined this week and don't know my way around yet. Congrats on the 23/24 pounds. I'm counting calories.

A friend of mine lost about 70 pounds when he was in high school. He's in his 40s now and he hasn't regained. He never exercises. Ever. He eats 2 meals a day. Snacks rarely. If he eats a heavy meal, he skips the next meal or makes it pretty light. It's weird. But that's what he does.

When I was in cancer treatment and underweight, I was told to put bacon in everything and to drink a milkshake before bed each night.

Free advice is worth every cent! But, in my opinion you should not "make it up". You should accept that you deviated from your plan and you should get back on track. A very useful diet book I read puts it this way, if you "make it up" you are I'm essence opening a line of credit and this makes it easier for you to go off…

Hahaha. Thanks!

I had some apple and peanut butter tonight. It was good. Sorry, didn't take any pics.
-
Thanks!

Very cute!!!

If the scale is annoying you, then I wouldn't look so often. Maybe weigh monthly and focus on eating well and exercising? What do you think?
-
Not a strawman. A movement intended for amputees and burn victims has been hijacked by pro-obesity people. It's not okay to be fat. It is not nuanced.
-
Whoo hoo. Want one!
-
Could it be that as your near vision worsened it "evened out" your distant vision?
-
Nope. The world just starts using smaller fonts as you age. Seriously, Dr. Dean Edell once said that you can usually guess a person's age over 40 within a few months by looking at how their near vision deteriorates.

Too many laws actually.

I think impossible veg meat has more calories than meat. Sad face.
-
I'm glad your take on it was helpful to you. Everyone should love themselves and take good care of themselves. That's not what the "body positivity" movement is about. The question was for or against. I'm against.
-
I've read plenty from the pro-obesity crowd and I'm 100% against it.
-
Impossible Burger 2.0 is good. I wouldn't have known it wasn't meat if I had been served one and wasn't told. Was too expensive though. The veg burger at Carl's is disgusting. I threw it away. Impossible 1.0? I hope BK goes national with it. Can't wait to try an Impossible Whopper.
-
Finally! I love it!
-
I weigh myself most mornings. More data! I like to see the trends-- as a previous poster mentioned.
-
100% against. It's pro-obesity insanity.
-
Food scale is 100% necessary. Best money spent on weight loss. Make salad. Google calories. Weigh. Tare. Next item. Tare. Next item. Tare,... till done. Particularly useful for calorie dense items.

Sweet! I just started and I'm feeling great, but I'll get back to you in about 5 weeks when this is starting to be a pain in the butt.
