Another year, and I honestly feel like a completely new person
-
These are my main strength exercises. I run 4-5 days a week, and I do kicking exercises almost every day for my abs. I'll also use resistance bands after my workouts. I take about 30 seconds to 1:30 seconds between sets. If I'm lifting heavy weights I'll take up to 4 minutes between sets. I'll use about 75% of my PB when…

I have a pretty basic workout routine that I've been doing for chest, back and shoulders. Pretty much just basic exercises, but I can post it here if you want to know the exercises, sets, reps etc....

Haha grabbed my attention lol It was my resolution 2 years ago to lose mine lol.

I feel like time is going by so quickly now. I'm 43 and I think I'm on my third mid life crisis lol. My 30's seemed to fly by. I decided to try and get healthy when I turned 40 because I wanted to keep up with and stick around longer for my kids. I feel way better than I did in my 30's. Diet seems to be more important than…

Thanks, I feel so much better than I did in my entire 30's.

wow, this is amazing. Good job. I'm hoping I can maintain as well as you.

thanks, the pic on the left was from about 10 years ago. I think the most progress has been this year though. The first 8 months I just ran/walked, and did pushups, situps and chinups. I started running further - reached a half marathon distance a couple of weeks ago. I was getting too lean, so I started using a Total Gym.…

I've been here for a little over 4 months. A lot of previous friends stop using the app once they meet their goals, so it's good to meet new ones. I mainly run and do pushups, but I'm starting to get into strength training.
-
I though I was almost there, but I changed my goals once I hit 185 haha. The pic on the left was when I was around 200, and the pic on the right was when I was around 180. I feel so much better and only 5lbs to go until my next set of goals.

Thanks, I was on a calorie reduced diet for months, but now I'm just trying to stay the same weight. I've been watching my sodium levels, but only to stay under. I'm definitely going to read up on it now to see how much I should be getting. I always find it hard to get enough postassium lol. Thank you for the help.

There's not very many races where I live, so I think it's just going to be a personal half. I made it up to 16.7 km on my long run this weekend, so I should be on schedule to make it to the 21 km mark by November.
-
I haven't come close to running these distances, but I'm doing the half marathon training program on my Garmin watch. I just finished a 16.7 km run yesterday, which is my furthest yet. I don't have any aches and pains, but it almost feels like I'm a bit hung over. Is this a normal part of training, or am I not getting…

So I think someone at work deleted all my friends. Came in today and my feed was empty. Feel free to add me back. So far I have one lol.

It's so good getting involved in a new sport and lifestyle. Good luck, I think you'll really enjoy it.
-
It must be beautiful hiking there. I heard it's really nice. I've also enjoyed almost every food i've ever met, thus the reason I'm here lol. Good luck on your journey!!!
-
awesome, you can really notice the difference. good job
-
always looking to meet new people, so feel free to add me. Been on here for 2 months, but a lot of people stop using the app.

Alluring

Just getting started is the most important step. So you can definitely do it . Good luck with everything
-
well this is a great place to start. logging is the way to go. I never realized how many calories I was getting from certain foods until I started here. Good luck

I'm new to the group and I just recently running. I started training to be able to run a half marathon in a couple of months. I figured that was a good goal to set for myself.
-
I'm also preparing for my first half marathon. I started running in April and I just started training for a half marathon. I'm not entering a race or anything, just gonna do it on my own. I'm hoping to be able to run the distance in 2 to 3 months.

Your hard work is showing. Good job

Good job. You've already made the most important step. Good luck with every other step along the way
-
Everyone is different, but I started by setting one big goal. And then I started looking at what changes I needed to make. I also made them realistic so that I could stay on track
-
I just started this year, so I'm more like a jogger at this point lol

I find that eating healthier is more important now than when I was younger
