I've actually struggled with self-confidence more, or in a different way, since losing some weight. I was 300 lbs. I lost about 65 lbs and was noticibly smaller to most people. But at that point I was very torn with my image vs reality because the skin was starting to sag in a few places. That really kind of depressed me…

That's so great! I'm happy for you! What an accomplishment. Keep on keepin' on!

YAY! Hooray! That's awesome! Keep up the good work!!

Yesterday we had a beef roast w/ cauliflower, broccoli, onion, carrot, and potatoes with spices & a little red wine slow-cooked together all day. And we made some simple mashed potatoes to go with it. Today I had that for lunch leftovers, and then for dinner we had salad & Domino's pizzas (!)

On the pants fitting post - also try out LLBean and Land's End. I have a son that wears 28-29 x 34. Good quality, free returns, quick service.

On jeans sizing..this weight/size range definitely rings true. All brands size & shape differently, it seems. I found it to be encouraging and helpful to find jeans that fit to wear, from anywhere, and I also buy the exact same jeans in one size down. When I can fit into the smaller pair and the larger becomes more loose,…

One thing that I haven't read - but I also haven't read 500+ pages (!) is a small but noticible change for me. I was 300 lbs at my highest last year. When I got down to around 270ish I noticed that my shoulder bones were less padded and that my purse could hang easily from my shoulder without slipping off. I didn't have to…

Very poetic! Fantastic, and fun.

That's wonderful! Keep up the good work. You can do this!

I need to spend time and read over all of these comments. I can relate with many of these same accomplishments and positive changes. I was 301.8 May '19. I lost to 234.8 March '20. Now 5 months later I've fluctuated up and down to about 252 now. I'd like to get to 150ish (I'm 5'5", 43yo woman). I'm struggling with staying…

You can do it! You did it the first time. You can do it again. I know that you can! I believe in you :)

Tonight I'll be making meatloaf (ground beef), mashed potatoes w/ gravy, a veg- probably green beans, and bread. My daughter cooked last night and made a delicious Chinese meal of fried rice, egg rolls, and sesame chicken.

60lbs in the past 8 months. Still have about 90 more to lose! But I'm 2/5 of the way there!
-
I've lost 60lbs since beginning to count calories May 21st (2019). I tend to lose 1-2lbs per week, sometimes more, some less. I began with eating 2000cal/day, and slowly lessened it to about 1700cal/day now. Because of other issues I also now eat mostly low-fat, too, within that limit. of course there have been days that I…

I'll eat some of everything I want and not so much mind the calories on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day but I have to be careful about the amt of fat for medical reasons. In the past I'd just pig out and love it all the way to being overstuffed! But I don't like the feeling of being even full anymore, even if…

I began May 21st at 301.8 lbs. My goal range is 150s. I weighed in this week at 256.8, so right at 45lbs lost in nearly 6 months' time. I'm pretty pleased and hopeful to keep focused through the holiday treats - enjoy some but not too many! I count calories - avg 1,700/day now. And I eat fairly low-fat.

This is a great thread for me. I haven't had it removed but I had the first-time experience of a severe gallbladder attack coupled with chest spasms (we initially thought I was having a heart attack), a night in the ER, all the testings, and with results that my gallbladder has sludge, no stones visible (unless just…

We had chili last night. It was vegetarian with a bit of TVP mixed in. (No one here either noticed or at least didn't ask if it wasn't a bit of ground beef.) Sauteed onion, spices, corn, and cans of rotel. Added 8 cans of 'chili beans', canneloni, dark and light kidney beans, and black beans. With a choice of saltine or…

I cook for 8 people nightly. For 4 months I was counting calories; anything was game to eat, just within my quantity limitation. It worked great - I lost about 30lbs. Unfortunately, I've apparently been developing gallbladder issues and after a night in the ER I now must eat low fat (about 30g/day). This extra limitation…
