I would love to hear your success stories. I’m 10lbs down now, need to go another 35 lbs before the end of July.

I'm down almost 72 pounds. I started last April.
My advice is to not set time limits. In the last 10 months, some of them I lost 10 pounds and some of them I lost 2. Weight loss isn't linear, and it's also not fast or predictable. You can't control the actual timeline it comes off. Focus on things you can control and orient your goals there. Stuff like hours of sleep, steps per day, exercise per week, cooked dinners, etc.15 -
I've done 60lbs now. I've got another 60 pounds left and I'll be almost done. I am very very close to half way. 0.8lbs away from half way! So exciting! It's taken me 6 months and I expect the next half to take me longer. My loss is slowing down quite a bit now. I'm not putting a date on mine but I hope to be a normal BMI by September when I have a holiday.5

I've lost 43 of my planned 50 so far. I agree with not setting time limits. You will lose the weight however fast you lose the weight, but unless it is a specific target for a medical procedure or something, l wouldn't put a limit on it.
I've gone slow. It's taken me about 16 months to lose the 43. I lost the first 35 in about 10 months, and I've only lost around 8 the last 6. But I've also recompositioned my body during that time. Gained some muscle during my breaks in my diet and then burned fat while I've been in a deficit. So I've made a lot of visual progress if not on the scale.
Exercise has been big for me, as it both has helped me have more calories I can eat during the day and also kept me on track since psychologically, I didn't want to "waste" the hard work I do in the gym by eating poorly. Other than that I just focused on hitting my calorie goals, making sure to eat food I liked, even so called "bad foods" in moderation.
This is my progress pics as of last month. The "before" pic was taken after I had lost my 1st 10 pounds or so.

I've lost 60lbs since beginning to count calories May 21st (2019).
I tend to lose 1-2lbs per week, sometimes more, some less.
I began with eating 2000cal/day, and slowly lessened it to about 1700cal/day now. Because of other issues I also now eat mostly low-fat, too, within that limit.
of course there have been days that I went 3,000 or more, and a handfull of days that I was just 1,000.
I intend to live life and enjoy holidays, birthdays, etc. I eat about whatever I want, just sometimes small amounts of it.
I began at 301lbs and hope to end up in the 150s range, so about 150lbs loss total - half of me! I'm 2/5 of the way there.
God has helped me!3 -
I am down 65 pounds since starting in May 2018. My advice is to take it slow and to focus on making things as easy as possible while still making progress, instead of pushing through all the time. It's okay to push through individual things, like a workout, but if you feel like you have to push through everything, everyday, then something needs to change, because it won't likely be sustainable. Better to slow down in the short-term for long-term success.5
