Yes - and not losing a tiny bit of weight. 3 weeks in and the scale is the same every day, always feeling bloated and very hard to go to the toilet. I'm miserable and can't work out why.... your comments sound like what is happening to me...

Sorry to drag up an old post and I hope you're still a member - exactly what you described is happening to me and I don't know what's going on but and worried! Can you tell me more?

Not doing anything differently and yep weighing everything I eat, the actual composition of what I'm eating and the seasons are the only things that are different which is why I thought perhaps that has something to do with it somehow. Just feeling really bummed! Thanks for the reply, I won't give up!

Have you tried intermittent fasting? I'm 5”9 and 85 kilos and I can feel satisfied on 1300 call a day (plus exercise). I eat lots of protein - eggs, yogurt, very little bread, lots of veggies to fill out my meals like cucumber and tomatoes. IF in the mornings first meal (lunch) at 11am has been working very well for me.

Yep... 3 weeks all going great and then I binged for 2 days straight. Working out what causes the binge is the hardest part, because I don't usually start to binge for any reason other than I enjoy what I'm eating, then its like my brain stops working and I just eat without even really tasting it anymore until I feel sick.…

Yes, and it's a great way to get more out of your daily calories. I first tried skipping dinner however it was very difficult with a partner / family and socially as well as dinner us such a social meal. I now skip breakfast and have lunch at 11am. Have been doing this for a couple of years now. At first I felt very hungry…

Thank you for the reply, I did wonder whether maybe it was a kind of honeymoon phase. I'm hoping to lose the first 5 kilos then add more calories and aim for .5 a week. Will see how it goes!

Are you on birth control? Some pills can effect us in strange ways / make PMS worse. Maybe look at changing to a different birth control?

You could try intermittent fasting. It doesn't work for everyone, for me on 1200 cal it worked well as I was eating only 2 main meals a day instead of 3, eating between 11am - 7pm. It took some getting used, but I no longer wake up hungry and am fine without food before 11am. Black coffee and lots of water only until lunch.

I'm an emotional eater in recovery and it's going GREAT! I binged and emotional ate my whole life - ate when I was happy, sad, stressed, bored, you name it. No BS story about ”something just snapped one day and I got over it”, that has happened many many times. So what is different this time? I've made changes in ALL areas…

Yes, I do, and if makes cutting calories SO much easier. At the moment I'm on 1400 calories a day to lose weight. I tried fasting over dinner but it's so hard when you have a family/partner and socially as well, so I started fasting from 7pm until 11am. At first it was hard to skip breakfast - I used to eat a big bowl of…
