  • I've given up with the scales, but I now need braces on my knickers. Either a weight loss or elastic perished.
  • Slow but sure, down to 100kg today
  • Down to 101.7kg today. Doctor sending me to Allied Health Professionals and upped my medication. Thought I was losing, my leggings keep dropping :)
  • Thanks, I'll have a look. The young chap in shorts doing the talking puts me off straight away though, there should be an ordinary person. Far less intimidating. It was the same when I attended a weight control group run by the council. The girl in charge was like a fashion model, needless to say there were not many 'club…
  • We're on the move again 105.2 today :)
  • Down to 106kg today...slow progress. :)
  • Thanks Jo,
  • 5 days on and my weight is 108.3kg yet doing the same thing. What a weird body I have.
  • I must be doing something right at last. Weight on Jan 7th 111.2kg Weight on Jan 11th 107.9kg 31kg to go.
  • Thanks, you are correct, sorry, typo it was 1.3 ounces spaghetti which should have been 35cal (verified) bread is 45g a slice =158 (verified) I'd put 2 for the value of 1 biscuit, it was a cheap brand, smaller biscuits, the packet says 64 cal per biscuit.(verified) Cheese is pre sliced 1oz slice farmers =104 cal (verified)…
  • Thanks jo To be honest, I'm not too bothered about food, it's just a necessity, you'd never catch me dining out that's for sure ;) Yesterday I resurrected the scales and weighed everything. I think I have calculated correctly (MFP sheet below) Looks like I am in calorific credit :) I still have the rubber resistance band…
  • Thanks for the advice, I'll certainly look into that. The Onelife team have been in touch and will also be helping so hopefully I can make progress.
  • Thanks, I have contacted them but due to the current situation there is a long wait. I do have blood checks to monitor my meds and so far there are no problems. I've been on the same menus for three years, I find that as I don't expend a lot of energy, I don't feel the need to eat much more and don't snack in between.
  • Thanks for the replies...The 1100 calories was set when I was assessed by a health professional at"OnelifeSuffolk" about three years ago, it's a local government run health system with once a month weigh ins and blood pressure checks. I began following a heart attack after weighing in at 115kg (18 stone). I also have high…
  • I've just lost several pounds....as in £ UK Sterling. Car gone wonkey :(
  • Dusted off the scales again...I'm up by 8 pounds since my last check in a few weeks ago. Considering I'm totally housebound at the moment with our lockdown I suppose it could be a lot worse. Just looked, last weigh in was 51 days ago so I've gained 2.4 ounces a day
  • Thanks last time I swam was with the Navy in 1980 for the "duck test", the language then was ripe I can tell you :)
  • Yeeeup....that's just as I thought..... Obliques? abdominal? planks? that's an alien language to me and best avoided :)
  • Don't you just love the size of trainers in these fitness videos? and what on earth is engaging the core?
  • Another weigh in today, just under a pound loss. At least I'm not gaining which is a good thing. Strange thing is I never ever get the munchies at night...but just lately I have experienced cravings.
  • The 1100 a day was set by the fitness people at "One Life Suffolk" when my GP advised me I needed to lose weight following a heart attack. It was calculated taking into consideration that I am not very mobile so my exercise is zero. (No change there) but it did work and I lost over 50 pounds. Diet wise my food is pretty…
  • A bit disappointed today, checked the weight and it's exactly the same as 12 days ago yet my calorie intake is the same 1100 a day. Do I need to reduce even more?
  • This is a tricky time for me. I've fixed my motor scooter (Piaggio 250cc) so in theory I should be able to get out of the house. The trouble is I can get on it, ride it, stop it.....but I can't get off it due to my dicky hip. The temptation to relive my youth is very hard to resist .
  • I plucked up courage and mounted the footplate...........I've lost 4.4 pounds over 24 days. Good or bad?
  • I'm trying hard but I'm scared to get on the scales in case I fail.
  • I'm 20 pounds lighter today........That's £20 GBpounds. Car needed an exhaust repair. :)
  • I've identified two of the causes of my weight gain.... it's down to these two. Every night at 9pm they gang up on me for toast. How can I refuse? Trouble is the smell is so tempting I have to join in.
  • A parcel arrived this morning from my other daughter. She really tries to help.(not) A bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, a large box of liquorice, and a wine glass that holds a full bottle of wine! Bless her...............Get Thee Behind Me etc.
  • Thats a great photo Ann I try to keep moving even if it's my fingers on the keyboard, I took a stroll round the garden with my camera and on the Sea Holly I saw a little yellow, orange, and black smudge. It turned out to be a Harlequin Ladybird Larvae. Thought I'd share it.
  • I have plenty of hats so I cut my own hair :) Question: My health adviser says I should restrict my calories to 1100 a day, if I do, MFP tells me I'm not eating enough. Who do I believe?
