JFT: Wake up earlier with alarm, avoid dairy, no scary tv shows or documentaries, drink enough water, food= salad, ham, protein shake, steak, broccoli, mushrooms, no stevia sodas due to tummy upset from the other day. spend time petting pets.

38 here, gained the most due to comfort eating from COVID, now I have a 30 lb weight loss goal. Lost 5 lbs in the past 2 months since I started my journey. Feel free to add me as a friend! I don't log foods since I'm on a keto diet but I do post in threads and am a great virtual cheerleader!

I carry a stainless steel water bottle everywhere I go, and use Stur water enhancers. They seem to be as natural as I can find, and help me drink more water, but still I know that plain water is best. I agree it is very boring though.

The use of the word "flavor" or "natural" in an ingredient list doesn't mean anything. It will still be a bunch of chemicals combined in a factory to make the food or drink taste good. I saw someone post these, I went out and bought a bag, and they taste very similar to famous amos cookies but are way more expensive and not much comes in a bag. However, I'm doing keto (low carbs and sugar) so these really hit the spot when I'm craving a cookie.

Hmmmmm I never thought of this. I just notice that the "serving size" for most food is about 1/3 what I eat!

I don't drink diet sodas, but I have flavored water enhancers that are sweet so I am encouraged to drink more water, which helps with weight loss. If you like a diet soda, I don't see a problem with it. The bubbles fill you up, no calories, and sometimes you just can't cut EVERYTHING you like out of your diet.

Used to hate mushrooms. Then had some by accident on a pizza and now I LOVE them! Used to hate eggplant....but if cooked correctly it can be yummy. Used to hate flavored water enhancers by not liking all the artificial stuff. Now I love the stevia one I found. Used to hate meat, now I love steak.

The really big stuff I just donated. If it's a little bit, I keep it in case I gain weight again. That's not the plan, but my weight has gone up and down a lot in my life. I also have a few cut things I kept from when I was smaller that I look at to remind me of my goal to lose weight and fit into that cute stuff.
