As others have said, when weighing foods try to use grams, mililiters, etc. Also, I don't trust the food entries that are in the database since they are often wrong or outdated. I typically create a new food entry and log it myself. It takes a bit at first, but then you get into a rhythm and it doesn't take too long. Plus,…

I've found that the food diary really helps keep me on track and how to better balance my calorie usage. Whenever I quit logging is usually when I start gaining weight back. :)

It is a funny brand name. Probably part of their marketing strategy lol.

I think there are so many variables that go into it that it would be hard to have a definitive answer. I usually blame water retention. :)
-
Good point, I forget about this often.

I don't typically eat potato chips/crisps anymore, but when I do I enjoy Donkey Chips (unsalted). An alternative I enjoy are Cheez-Its, which may or may not be any better...I haven't bothered to compare nutritional info. I think the self-discipline to stop eating them is key.

I had this for the first time last night and it was great! Keep in mind, this was a LARGE portion. I had a lot of calories remaining for the day. Next time I would probably try just one can of chicken. :) 2 cans chicken in water 1 can low sodium black beans 1 jar Trader Joe's yellow curry sauce Mission sundried tomato…

I typically cook thawed, boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the air fryer. Spray each side with cooking spray (I prefer olive oil spray, but to each their own) and season however you would like. Cook at 380 for 11 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook at 380 for another 11 minutes. Should be slightly crispy on the…

This looks delicious! I have been wanting to try to incorporate more Mediterranean dishes into my routine - I may need to try this one!

I agree with this. Quinoa is so versatile you can add pretty much whatever you'd like to it! You can scramble eggs and add it to the quinoa. I usually like to add chicken, black beans, tomato, jalapeno and onion to it and then season how I feel fit. I usually prefer a little bit of a kick, so I enjoy adding cumin or curry…

This. I haven't found a single entry that has been correct in the past few months. I usually end up creating the food and saving it to my items since I tend to eat/drink the same items regularly anyway. It really doesn't take too long once you get into the routine of it.

I would agree with this. I am constantly trying to reduce my amounts of waste, so I prefer to use Pyrex. I've had my current set for years and I love them. Plus they don't get stained by food! :)

I will second the tuna/chicken pouches. I personally enjoy the jalapeno and buffalo ones. As far as snack-type items, I really like Built Puffs. They are easy to eat, have a decent amount of protein and feel like a treat. Rather than ordering a whole case online, I think GNC sells individual bars. Try one first before…

I'm currently on a medication where I am supposed to limit my caffeine intake. I had a sugar free Monster last week like I normally do (one per day) and that was an awful idea. I am now trying the V8 Sparkling Energy. Not as much caffeine and (hopefully) a bit better for me. I just wish they came in 16 oz cans lol. Has…

I haven't done it, but it sounds like you have a good approach. Take things slowly and find things you enjoy first. I would imagine reintroducing eggs and dairy may be the easiest to start, and then meat in things like spaghetti or chicken caesar salads - things where meat isn't the main dish, but it is included in it.

I love Pyrex. I don't think I could ever go back to plastic.

Lays made a BLT chip years ago that was good. I'll buy them!

You all really have me tempted to buy one of these, but I have to wait until later this year to be able to afford it! Too many other plans this summer!
-
Oooh, I am intrigued by these. I wonder if I can find them locally or if I will need to order online.

JUST STARTED The Gunslinger By Stephen King In the first book of this series, Stephen King introduces readers to one of his most enigmatic heroes, Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil. In his desolate world, which frighteningly mirrors our own,…

I enjoyed the Little Fires Everywhere mini-series on Hulu, I've been meaning to check out the book too.

I was just researching moving to an Apple Watch since I think my Fitbit is on it's last life. Little more expensive, but it looks like the Apple Watch has more features I wish my Fitbit had. Plus I wouldn't have to have my phone on me!

I make chicken breasts/tenderloins quite often. Hard boiled eggs (no cleanup!) We made a jalapeno meatloaf once a few years ago that turned out great.

I work from home, so it is much easier for me, but my goal is just to get 250 steps minimum in per hour. I usually try for 1000 per hour though, so my larger goal of 10K is a little more feasible by the end of the work day. If I were in an office, I would try to walk over to co-workers desks if I have questions rather than…

When is this? I'll be visiting Chicago soon and am hoping to move there within the next 1-2 years. Would love to participate if they allow walkers as well!

I ended up ordering the Bob's Red Mill brand on Amazon for now. Probably overpaid, but my options were pretty limited in my area for the quantity I wanted. Excited to try it out and see how it compares to my previous purchase. For anyone who is interested, I've been making quinoa in my crockpot with chicken/vegetable…

Daisy brand cottage cheese with dill weed and pepitas

The snickerdoodle price went up since you purchased, but I got a few other tins around that price. Thanks for the tip, much cheaper than anywhere around here!
-
I really liked the seasonal snickerdoodle flavor they recently had out.

I rip the seal off and try to get as much of the remnants peeled off as well. Afterwards, I run the containers through the dishwasher and re-use them in the spring as seed starter containers. :)
