For me, it was the diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes back in January. At the time I had been 'yo-yo'ing for years between 290 and 260. At the time of diagnosis I was at 265lbs and my A1C was 9.7 with a random sugar reading of mid 20's. Being 51 I knew this was the time to smarten up and live better or keep on living the way I…

@mike_ddj , I just hit my 190 lb goal yesterday. (189.4 on the scale). That puts me at just shy of 103 lbs down. Now the big decision is whether I want to try losing a little more or maintain for a while. Keep up the great work and I'm sure you'll be down here at 190 in no time as well!

@mike_ddj Great job, keep up the good work! I just cracked a couple milestones this month as well.(BMI<25 on the 2nd and 100lb loss on the 6th). Im just 1 lb away from my initial target of 190.

Pita Pizzas! When I feel like I need a treat I make a couple of these. Each one one is only 260 calories and they taste great without the guilt of ordering from one of my many favorite pizza places.

Hit the 100lb loss mark this morning!

I just crossed the 100 pound loss marker this morning! 292lbs - 191.8lbs

Today I crossed the line on the BMI Index from 'overweight' to 'normal'. Its only a 0.1 drop on the index but it is a HUGE mental and emotional victory. Its been 30 years since the last time I was 'normal' !

@nitalieben - Here ya go! Makes two small (6-7") pizzas. The french item is just a flavored water I had with it.

I don't know if this counts as a victory or a reward, but I found a great way to enjoy pizza again that only costs me 260 calories on my food intake!

I was diagnosed Type 2 in January this year. My A1C was 9.7 and random sugar was over 20. I'm 6'2" and I was around 265lbs at that point (my heaviest was 292lbs). My doc put me on Synjardy. By July of this year I had dropped my weight down to 198lbs by cleaning up my diet and walking 4-6 miles 4-5 days a week. When I got…

I got to ONEderland back in July but had a couple setbacks and crept back to 208 in October. I'm back on track with A NEW LOW ON THE SCALE! 197.6lbs. It's been an up and down ride to get here but I've gone from 292lbs and a BMI of 38(bordering severe obesity) to my current weight and a BMI 25.4. BMI of 24.9 is the top end…

I recently started tracking my food/calorie intake on MFP and have dropped 4lbs since Remembrance Day (Nov 11th for you folks outside of Canada). I guess seeing everything on 'paper' really does help keep you accountable to yourself. Another 2lbs to go to get back to that 198 low I hit in July.
-
@David_McKay - great job! I dropped my weight this time with walking 4-5 miles a day as well and cleaning up my unhealthy eating habits. 292lbs to 202lbs. I shaved my beard off when I realized I had a chin and jawline again...lol

On Friday I went in to my company headquarters and picked up some new uniforms. Traded my 2XL shirts and 42 pants in for L shirts and 36 pants. Our operations manager hasn't seen me since the COVID breakout and he didn't recognize me!

@stevehenderson776 - I never played organized, wanted to be a goalie and my mom was scared I'd get hurt....lol. My playing days were on the ponds and streets.
-
@supercpa999 - Thanks! Like to drop about 10 more and see how things feel at that point. Gotta catch up to the better half, she's killing it on here!
-
@Carp614 - I know the feeling! I've seen enough change in the chin/jaw that I shaved it clean for the first time in years.

Well, I think I have to prove to her I'm serious about putting the effort in on this site, I was resistant to it for so long.
