Hi! It seems quiet here. I wish you all the best in achieving your goals now and in the future. I hope you have young friends to support you on your journey. I am a senior person, but I just wanted to say cheers Best wishes from Scotland! Pedro

Lol. Same here. I am fighting my Garmin watch. There is never enough for this watch! Any time you relax, your statistics drop like a stone. At times, I feel Garmin bullies me. 😉 I am on a journey to lose 50 lbs before I go into triathlon training. Currently, I am 101 kg and aiming for 82 kg. Greetings from the West Coast!

How are you doing now? I am just starting and aiming to get slim, healthy, and fast. Life sometimes gets in the way, and having young kids is a serious distraction 😁. Best wishes on your journey! Greetings from Scotland! Pedro.

Mine is being consistent. Life is busy, and it is easy to get distracted. I have recently started my journey, and my body is still trying to get used to the new routine. I want to be lighter, feel healthier and run faster (aiming to do triathlon in the future). Best wishes from Scotland!

There you go! There is always a first. Congratulations! Keep it going! Best wishes. Pedro

I'm just new to Thermomix. I got the first one from my family (they have the most recent ones). I have started doing protein shakes from a book. I will bookmark this chat and keep you posted with what I get. I believe my family will have tons of ideas. Best wishes! Pedro

Do you have any plans in mind about what to do at the moment? What support do you need? Pedro

Sometimes, RLS could be linked to iron deficiency anaemia, which is more common in women due to the menstrual cycle. It is easy to test; if this is the case, it responds quite well to iron supplements. Best wishes!

I listen to podcasts and this switches me off.

I listen to podcasts at night to quieten my mind after hard days at work when it seems my brain is constantly on. Listening to someone talking about anything at low volume completely silences my brain activity.

Best wishes in your new journey!

Hi! Best wishes to both of you. I love your picture; it's got a lot of good vibes in it. Pedro

Best wishes in your journey. We all have reasons for aiming to change and find a new version of ourselves, one that we feel more connected to. There are a lot of good people here and a lot of support coming your way. Greetings from Scotland!

Hi Molly! Everything in life is relative. It seems you do pretty well the rest of the year. I could put these periods in the balance, check what brings you to eat in excess and devise a plan to regain normality afterwards. I wonder if this is a release from accumulated stress over the year. It seems you are very…

This is my first attempt, as I have been distracted for long enough by an unbalanced work-life balance. Once you realise where you are and where you came from, you can define where you want to be (and I have reached my decision now). I need and want to lose weight, and I am also working on my fitness. I am going to do it…

Hi! I am in the process of "putting the house in order" after having burnt myself to extinction due to work pressures over the past few years (and having gained significant weight). First, I had to deal with personal frustration and anger. Then peace came along, and then I found "my mojo." Now, I am back to almost my…

I am happy to be counted in if anyone wants. Like JLG1986, I am 222 lb (101 kg) and aim to go down to 178 lb (81 kg). I am not in a rush, but I want to start and keep committed to consistent weight loss and increased fitness. I am to get into triathlon (properly) by 2026. One of my kids has a learning disability, and I…

I have been guilty of this as well. I am trying to go simple at this time, mostly by doing: - Intermittent fasting (about 12 hours from 6 PM to 6 AM). - Trying to eat better during the day on the period I can eat. - Having a friend on this site has been a God-sent as I am accountable (and this goes a long way). - I have…

Down 2.5 kg in three weeks. I can live with this. Still a long way to go. ;)

Best wishes! Find something that motivates you to go through this experience as motivation. There will be something you want to achieve for which you started this. There are interesting posts (by others, not me) about getting the best of this. I wonder whether 6.6 lb (about 3 kg) in just a few days could be too fast, but…

I am looking for the same. Hopefully, it will work for both of us. Best wishes!

I recently read an article about the TV program "The Biggest Loser." I have not watched the program, but the paper said they got them through gruelling training and calorie reduction. The funny thing is that they cannot organise reunions after programs have ended, as everyone regained their original weight. I agree with…

You are starting a journey. Reflect on what has got you there and look at what you can change, but change one thing at a time. If you want a good physique, you need to explore what you can do in terms of lifestyle and exercise to make it happen gradually. Slow, progressive change is what works best. Read and learn from…

I agree with the above. Looking at possible lifestyle changes in terms of being more active to start and fit in the end can go a long way. Sometimes, the journey is better than the destination. I just started mine recently and I am still learning. Best wishes!

Running 40 minutes in zone 2. Loved it. Now some core and flexibility work.
