I'm back again even though I said I'd never gain it back for the umpteenth time lol

My name is Jody. I'm age 55 and live in New York. I am 5 feet tall. Well I have returned to MFP today after maintaining my weight for a long time except this year lol. I gain so easily, even being on a low-dose thyroid medicine for 2+ years. I'm at 128 and would like to get back down to at least 115 again. It's time to be accountable and log my foods. I work out almost every day doing weight training and some cardio on other days. It's very hard to lose anything because I hate restricting, but I'm continuing to eat a healthy lifestyle and if I do need to have a cheat day once per week, I will, as long as I keep it low. I eat 6 small meals a day (300 calories each meal) for a total of 1,200 calories. I do mostly low-carb diet but still eat potatoes, low-carb bread, etc. WISH ME LUCK! I hope everyone is doing well! Please feel free to add me if you are active on MFP so that we can keep each other accountable and motivate one another!

Hi! I belong to a group called Serial Starters....we are all return clients. 😉
It's great that you work out. And I understand about restricting....I developed diabetes and do have to restrict some things. But my Endocrinologist says everything in moderation and that is my mantra. I have more to lose than you, and diabetes makes that difficult as well, but shooting up insulin 4 times a day gets old fast. My goal is to get off or reduce the insulin permanently. I am determined. And I am losing.
I DO wish you luck! I post every day here, so I am around. Have a great rest of your day!0 -
Welcome back.
The good thing is you caught the gain early and with a little determination and discipline you can turn it around.0 -
This is my first attempt, as I have been distracted for long enough by an unbalanced work-life balance. Once you realise where you are and where you came from, you can define where you want to be (and I have reached my decision now). I need and want to lose weight, and I am also working on my fitness.
I am going to do it properly and gracefully (hopefully).
I am happy to add people (I am new and have one incredibly supportive friend already), and I thought of introducing myself first to check with you that I am who I claim to be.
Best wishes to everyone from rainy Scotland!0 -
We have a group with a lot of support. Come take a look! We are opening registrations for new members next Saturday!
