@ashleycarole86 you sound like the most wonderful daughter <3 @conleywoods I think hitting macros must be hard work. I've always put off doing it, but I feel like I'd plan one day and then eat that until I got sick of it and added another day! That sounds great @EvMakesChanges; you really are making changes! @jugar…

Happy Tuesday! It took OH about 5 hours to do the first coat of primer yesterday, then I had to sand it all as he has a tendency to lay the paint on a bit thick and not smooth it out. I managed to get all the cutting in done and the ceiling painted, but that, including the sanding, took 4 hours and I finished at 11.30pm.…

Pleased with a small loss because I didn't actively do anything for it, just made a couple of healthier choices. Trying very hard to use the right language when I make the choices too; less of the should/can't/must/need and more could. This week is going to be manic. The bedroom is all prepped for painting and I'm aiming…

Hi all! I'm Katie, living near Nottingham in the UK with my husband and two cats. I piled weight on in my early 20s (now 34) for a few reasons and have struggled to lose it. Recently I learned that I have binge eating disorder so I'm in therapy for that and low self esteem, the latter being the bigger, more dominant issue;…

I'll go back on the regular team please - and I'll keep my weigh in day as a Monday.

I realised yesterday that instead of following rules (when it comes to food, exercise etc) I ought to view it as making choices. I chose not to snack on chocolate throughout the day yesterday, opting for fruit/chicken instead, then I chose to have a smaller portion of chocolate in the evening instead. Yesterday I found out…

I've missed you guys too - will try to be a bit more active in the chat as our 'crazy-busy' phase is over, and now we're just super-busy ;) Welcome to the new members! <3 I stepped on the scales this morning and it was a gain, but not as bad as I was fearing. I thought I was going to be over my highest/starting weight, so…

Welcome @CarolAnnM2 :) I've just caught up on last week's posts and the motivation/discipline thing is really interesting. I had my second BED therapy session last week and our focus is actually low self-esteem, but it all ties in together. We've been talking about 'rules'; the 'if I'm perfect, I won't have to feel like X'…

@jugar @ashleycarole86 I'd like to go on the support team (weight and steps) for a couple of weeks please. Will confirm when I'm jumping back in to normal. I'll catch up on posts tomorrow, hope everyone has had a good weekend.

@Gidgitgoescrazy that sounds frightening. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. @MoonlitMuse I don't actually like tea, or coffee! Neither does my mum or sister, I think we're considered a bit weird lol. I did try fruit teas for a while but dislike the bitter taste. I use 'tea' and 'dinner' interchangeably to mean the…

Your home breakages sound frustrating @conleywoods - at least like you say practically everything will be brand new soon! I am in a better mindset this morning, although I did not sleep well at all. Tossing and turning all night. It's a good job my training is at 6am because it doesn't give me the option of cancelling last…

@jugar I don't think potatoes are particularly fussy. They're supposed to be a good 'first' in an area, because they help to break up the ground for you. I did add some fertiliser with them. We'll see what happens. That's a beautiful orchid @conleywoods. I am throwing a pity party for one this evening. It's been a really…

@jugar PW 85.8 CW 86.8 Lots of fluctuating around this 86 at the moment. At some point my head will get - and stay - in the game.

I'm gutted I missed the Zoom call yesterday - stupidly I hadn't put it in my calendar and we were out and about. I shall do better next month and hope those of you that joined had a good natter. This morning we planted the first potatoes in the allotment. I have my doubts about whether they're going to be successful but I…

Chase the handstand @ashleycarole86! We were working on them in the 'throw legs up and catch yourself' kind of way, but I'd prefer the more controlled lift from a plank like that. @kellie_erin I am glad your first day went ok even if you were low on sleep. @jugar super cute! @lauren_989 @conleywoods yes it feels like a…

@micki48 you had me worried for a moment there with the elephant ears :D @jugar I could make a call Saturday evening! It's back to work for me today after a very busy weekend. I would much rather be down the allotment, even in the rain lol. Alas, there are bills to pay. This is how it started: And this is how I left it…

PW: 85 CW: 85.8 We had a really salty takeaway curry last night - I downed a litre of water afterwards and still felt thirsty - and I've done loads of digging this weekend so putting it down to water retention and not overindulgence. ;)

I'm Katie, 34, living near Nottingham UK with my husband and our two cats. I've been overweight since my early 20s, lost almost 15kg with MFP last year but put about 10kg back on over winter and have been trying to get back on track. I work full time from home with a desk based job, and OH now works as a police officer -…

I hope those who are feeling under the weather are on the mend soon. We had a good walk last night - went to the shopping outlet for a (diet) soft drink, which is about 45 minutes each way. It's nice to head in a different direction, and we passed through the woods on the way past where there was the most incredible carpet…

It's a bit cold here today too @jugar. Has been overcast which doesn't help. I'm walking with a friend after work. We were supposed to run but I've had a hectic week workwise, including today, and I don't think I can face it. I will see if she wants to run in the morning, though, as I do need to test the water. I have…

Welcome @sophsjw I went over on my calories yesterday and it showed on the scales today. Mostly just because Tuesday is a hungry day after getting up so early and training first thing, though we were also having KFC for tea (pre-planned). I don't think MFP allows for higher calories on one day than the rest of the week…

@jugar I think my chiro is very similar to an osteopath (as opposed to the chiro I used to see), but I haven't seen one specifically. I find it's enough to keep me ticking over and usually just a nice massage these days, then I get the brutal sports massage from C on a weekly basis if needed. As long as there's nothing…

@micki48 @ashleycarole86 I don't want to use another tracking app either! Hopefully they'll be able to tell us when the outage will be and how long they expect it to be down for. I figure if I pre-track my days and screenshot them, then I just have to stick to my planned food. As somebody who works in the software…

PW: 86.5kg CW: 85kg @jugar @conleywoods I am jealous of your gardens ready to go! I don't have time to get down there today but I want to plan the layout on the PC first anyway, and then I'll go down in an evening and start marking out the beds to see how it would look in real life. It has been recommended that we begin…

Today started well, but I've just heard some sad news from a co-worker and now I feel a little blue! It's overcast but when I finish work I shall go for a walk and that will cheer me up - there are ducklings at the Wharf now. I didn't eat the Creme Egg last night, though I did eat up to my calorie goal. I also moved the…

That's brilliant @ashleycarole86 - you must feel fantastic. I'm sorry to hear about your mom's treatment @eggfreak. A couple of days to sit with that seems completely reasonable to me. @Gidgitgoescrazy I am not a mushroom fan either, so a supplement could well be of interest! I'm also noticing a correlation between good…
