My diet is extreme low carb <34g per day is the target or a balance of 5% Carbs, 55% Fat and 40% protein all with a caloric intake of 2200. My question was in reference to a meal I ate yesterday that I felt guilty eating. My wife…

Welcome. Journey is the one thing I have learned more than anything in the MyFitnessPal community!

Welcome! Not sure I would be of much help. Have no insights to diabetes other than low carb, which is the diet my Dr put me on for other reasons.

Welcome! USMC Veteran here. I would volunteer to help you, but it is against training to volunteer for anything! Since we are brothers, I will take shots at you to keep you motivated. I am still working on my mental state, but I am down 35 lbs.

Mental preparation. My greatest tool is to go walk when the stressful moment hit. Like yesterday, my wife wanted to look for a pair of shoes while we were in the city for a Dr appointment. I could have been grumpy and sat in the car or a bench in the Mall. Instead I got a 58 min walk in. Yes it took her that long!

Congratulations! Keep up the work and keep being an inspiration to everyone around you including us!~

The advice the members is extremely value. My Dr put me on an extreme keto diet due to a clogged artery to small for a stint. It is working like a champ. All I have to do is focus on the low carbs and it all falls into place. Even my energy levels have skyrocketed. The most interesting thing is my triglycerides dropped 30…

Move on. Lesson learned. Besides it is a journey of life. Just understand where you are and keep moving forward. It my new adopted philosophy.

There is no better motivation then shared success stories. No goal is unreachable.

I am currently on my second attempt at losing weight. Like others, I fell off the wagon at some point and went back to ground zero. There are three tips I can share for me personally. 1. Changing your lifestyle is 95% mental. I learned this the first time. If you are not mentally ready to take on the challenges and…

My go-to is eggs and Lox. The second is chicken sausage and eggs.

I got so aggravated that I downloaded Pacer app, syncing by fitbit to it, and then syncing my Pacer app to MFP. So far so good.
-
I did. I finally got so frustrated that I stop messing with it and then it started syncing. I does not sync as fast as the fitbit app. You have to have patience which am steadily short of.

Awesome job!

@cwolfman13 Thanks for information. Fortunately I am not overeating and sticking to my plan, I just did not want the fluctuations creating unnecessary reactions. I feel eventually my progress will slow and I want to be prepared mentally when that point hits.

@AnnPT77 Thanks you very much for the information. It is extremely helpful. Like yourself I am obsessed with the data and had also noticed the retention that had come from the sodium intake. Your information on weight gain helps me know that all fluctuations north are not necessary negative. This gives me some more…
