  • I did the thing and joined the gym to lift weights! Today was my 3rd day and I did barbell rows, barbell squats and bench press. I really struggle with bench press so hopefully I'll improve by keeping at it. And I can't squat properly because I have limited dorsiflexion, so my heels rise up and I can't go any lower without…
  • Agree! Thankfully I'm a creature of habit and have no problem and actually enjoy eating the same things over again, but I keep my eyes open when shopping and if I see something new I'll check if it is higher/lower/the same as my current choice to determine if I'll buy it or not :D Last week I found little popcorn packets…
  • So it turns out the 268cal I thought I was having was more like 417cal haha nevermind, as I said I was still losing so it was working out overall somehow! I've been scouring the websites of my nearby supermarkets and found an ice cream that's 146cal for 100g so that'll be my replacement I think. I'll just have to adjust…
  • It's only me eating it but I think it sounds best if I choose one that has grams and avoid it if it doesn't. I could stand there in the shop working it out, if it ended up being less calories then I could be swayed but I'd rather log it accurately and be sure.
  • Ah man, that's a shame. Though to be fair I've been eating the ice cream with chocolate sauce for a long time and still lost weight so it's not all bad! So if I'm looking for a new ice cream I should go by the calories per gram? I've seen ice creams that only have calories per ml on it though, interesting. How would one go…
  • I got rid of all my old knickers too, they were size 20 (I'm sure some might have been 22) but now my new ones are 14! Saves space on the washing airer too! Yesterday was a nice day and I wanted to wear the hoodie I found when I was sorting out the spare wardrobe (full of clothes I hoped would fit again one day). But it…
  • Today is my 365 day logging streak! I've lost 4 stone, I'm around halfway through I reckon. Excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
  • No such thing, I have ice cream with chocolate sauce every night, if you account for it then every day is a cheat day!
  • Same, the font on the home page with my daily summary is different and the numbers have all shifted and overlap eachother
  • I'd like to add if I may, that people I see at work who are in a similar position and want to monitor their BP start taking readings so frequently, and the more you worry about it and the more you do it - if you do see higher numbers than what you'd expect you continue to panic and the cycle continues. If you do want to…
  • I imagine it would depend on the actual reason you're taking it for, as far as I know it's not prescribed as an appetite suppressant.

  • Not completely non-scale but as of this morning I'm overweight and not obese! 'Healthy weight' here I come!
  • I put on 3lb when I weighed in at Christmas but I'm not worried as I know it'll come off. Yesterday I started a sort out, I have my Mums old wardrobe that I keep clothes in and I'm supposed to swap things out depending on seasons but really I just put things in there that didn't fit anymore that I didn't want to throw.…
  • I had to buy new jeggings for a funeral in June/July this year, I had no idea what size I was so I got an 18 and an optimistic 16. I couldn't get the 16s up over my legs so wore the 18s which were snug. It's Christmas Jumper/own clothes week in work this week, I was going to wear my exercise leggings since they have a…
  • We got new uniforms in work yesterday, I optimistically ordered a smaller size but ended up needing 2 sizes up from that. It was a little disheartening but we could all tell the sizes were messed up. My NSV was me trying on the 2 sizes up, and even though it's a little snug against the belly, I caught myself thinking 'I'll…
  • This will be my first Christmas under a lifestyle change and to be honest I'm probably just going to fit the Christmas chocolates into my day, log them and account for them. Christmas day itself I'll probably log breakfast to keep my streak going but then enjoy myself for the day. Don't make idiot decisions, keep portion…
  • We have Christmas jumper day/week in work nearer the time. I saw a Christmas jumper the other week out of the corner of my eye, I really liked the colours but carried on walking. I couldn't stop thinking about the jumper :D Went back another time and couldn't find it, thought I'd maybe dreamt it! Then I saw it on eBay and…
  • I went to my favourite bra shop yesterday and got measured, I'm down two band sizes! The cup size doesn't seem to be moving though :D
  • That I'd be really, really cold! I was just about to say that I don't remember being super warm 44lb ago, but I think that'd be a lie. Any lifting or up and down stairs at work would break me out in a hot flush sweat. But I honestly don't think I had issues during autumn/winter. It's currently 11c here and I already have…
  • I refuse to buy lots of new clothes, not just because I don't go 'out' out anymore but also because I don't plan on staying the same size for very long. But I needed a new winter coat for walking the dog, I have a favourite type I like and my current one felt like I'd gone out without a coat and someone else had borrowed…
  • We're not legally allowed to have pepper spray or anything that we wouldn't need with what we're doing, if that makes sense? Like if I was stopped by the police while walking the dog and I was carrying a baseball bat, I'd be questioned. Granted its a case of weighing up having something that you might need but you could…
  • I think it's because we do take the same route every night that's playing a big part, it's not the best idea I know and there was a man one day that backtracked on himself walking alone that made me very suspicious. It just happens to be the longest way that we can walk that isn't against a road (nervous dog). I'd like to…
  • My work is entirely standing so I'm not too worried about that, like you say it's better than nothing. For dinner we only get 30mins so by the time I've made and eaten my dinner there's not a lot left. Youtube is a good shout though, I did actually used to do yoga a while ago! How cool is that, how kind of them!…
  • Unfortunately I only get 30mins for lunch so there's no way I'd get anything done during then. And I live with my Dad who has COPD so he can barely walk himself nevermind the dog lol Our dog isn't a new addition but I've never seen what she'd be like if anyone went for me. She absolutely loves other people and dogs so I…
  • Not strictly today but I'm off work for a week and my dog and I are going to stay in a cottage for a few days and enjoy lots of local walks! However, I didn't realise the cottage doesn't have a freezer and I mostly eat frozen foods. I've had to completely change my meals which is tough for me as a creature of habit. So…
  • Yesterday I climbed a mountain!
  • This! The guys in work poke fun at me eating the same things all the time, but I'm not the one constantly talking about food and wondering what to have for dinner and tea!
  • After spending years doing no exercise and eating what I wanted, when I wanted, I have lost just shy of 17lb I see my nurse every 12 weeks and she has to weigh me, I always tell her not to tell me what it said. I'd like to lose another 3lb by my next appointment on the 27th to make it an even 20lb and see her reaction!
  • If you don't mind me asking, how come you weigh yourself every day?
  • Thank you guys for your help! I try to avoid pasta and stuff because I find it difficult to work out, but I was already having this meal for work anyway because it's quick and easy to make on a Sunday night and freeze for the week. It's still under 400cal for the meal so I'm happy, thanks again!
