It's Cherry season, so I'm proud that I got in two actual meals. Vegan Chickenstrips with veggies and potato salad Beetroot patties with root vegetables.

What is working for me: I started by honestly logging what I was eating, then making small healthier adjustments to that. Slowly my diet changed into something that is both sustainable for me and that I enjoy.

For me I go up and down the same pound for most of the month, and then the week after shark week I suddenly drop 4-5 lbs. I deal by going by inches instead, and the fit of a pair of pants. Because while the scale isn't moving, there are changes for the better with my bodyshape.

You're either very short, don't have much to lose, or you are very sedentary. Or a combination of all three. I would change my goal to lose 0,5 lbs a week and add some more exercise. I'm 5'1", and not very active. When I put in that I wanted to go down 2 lbs a week it gave me 1200 as well (which is as low as it goes), went…

Depending on how strict you are Oreos and a lot of other junk food is vegan.

6. Stopped being an a-hole to myself. I was not stupid or lazy because I was heavy. I wasn’t incapable or weak. So, I stopped telling myself I was. Seriously, when I got serious the first thing I did was to buy some clothing that actually fit me. Now it was two pair of pants, a pack of underwear and some tops, but still.…

@starrynightskys that sounds like teaching people to eat like they have an ED.

For quick, low volume calories: use a bit more oil when making food. Then slowly add more food and less oil. Also ignore the exercise calories. if you feel like you're losing too fast increase calories by 100-500 a day and then adjust based on your weightloss/gain.

I like the Zombies, Run! app. There's a bit of story that can get annoying, but I like the progression it has. It was the best mix of run/jog/run for me.

If you switch to maintenance, how many calories do you get? Starting out I set my goal to high, realized I wasn't going to eat 1200 calories a day and set my goal to maintenance and aimed to eat 300 calories below that, but the real goal was not go above it.

What is your calorie goal now? How does your meal look like now? Would you open your diary? Do you have enough protein sources? Also; don't forget your supplements! I have a low calorie goal to begin with, around 1500, but they are easy to adjust for more calories. My diary is open (though I'm not great at logging snacking…

What's low calorie for you? 100 calories? 300?
-
Your protein goal is really high, 162g with a 1600-something calorie goal. And you're over 70 g most days I've seen in your diary.

I tried something similar a few months ago. Bought a box of the good stuff for a sensible portion on the weekends. Had a sensible portion, then proceeded to eat the entire box over the next few hours. 1400 calories in cereal, and that isn't counting the milk.

Not OP, but for me I can't portion control the sugary cereals, and I don't like the "healthy" ones. That and it doesn't keep me satisfied for long. That and the added vitamins are mostly a scam, they have a miniscule added and you can get better from elsewhere.

What I did to find protein powder was to ask for samples and buying portion packs until I found one that I liked both the taste and the price.

We have very similar goals and stats. I'm 1.56 tall and my goal is around 50 kg. Mostly vegan. For protein I have a soy milk with high protein (around 10 g for 200 ml), i also use a bit of protein powder in smoothies, but I'm not a big fan of the taste of protein powder, so I usually go for around 10 g. Since you use dairy…

for milk, go for fortified versions, so added b12, iodine, calcium vitamin d. soy milk has more protein and nutrients in general. personally i prefer oat milk in coffee, it gives a nice rounded flavour.

Personally, I just make a new account every now and then to clean it up. Mostly because I'm more about easily finding things than keeping a year long record of my eating.

I did that, didn't want to scan things at work. Worked great.
