This morning I had half of a beautiful Florida avocado, banana, English muffin with manuka honey and cinnamon. I eat the avocado on the side to prevent it from cooling off my toast :) To store the other half of avocado, I squirt it with lemon juice, after removing the pit and skin. Went shopping for my greens and veggies…

Thanks @SafariGalNYC!

Wow @mkksemail - you are inspiring! I'm shopping tomorrow for my grees and going to have the avocado toast for breakfast! Yum! I have a huge Florida avocado ready to eat. When I go to Sam's club, I buy a bag with 6 of them. I make sure they are very firm. Then store them behind the toaster on the counter for a couple days.…

Thanks for the invite! Getting enough greens is hard for my digestive system. I do eat a lot of different veggies and fruit. I have a green protein powder I use for my smoothies. It's okay. I have a nice juicer for making veggie fruit juice and do a juice cleanse once a year. I hope all is well with you.

~ S.M.A.R.T. Goals - Set up on my blog. ~ WHY? There are many reasons I need to stay accountable for my health. 1. To ensure I don't gain back any more of the weight I have previously lost. 2. I'd like my cholesterol to be in the normal range. 3. It would be helpful to keep my bones and muscles strong. ~ EXERCISE? I have a…

@hicim705 - Thank you for all the valuable information! I love that you added the other links for the pre-challenge. As I age, I find it difficult to do a lot of the fitness routines I once did. My knees are so sore, even though I had shots to cushion them. Hills were terrible on my legs in the mountains. My plan for the…

Awe, so no airport lounge?

Hello! I'm Alley, For me, I need to start with WHY: I don't want to gain any more weight! Simple! Not! I need like minded people to interact with, learn strategies, and be mindful of my health. I've been on my journey since about 2010. I joined WW and lost 50lbs, then gained it all back. Then I joined Jenny Craig and lost…

Happy Labor Day! Getting ready to get out of dodge! @Dianedoessmiles1 - I have a regular 21 speed bike. It's old but good enough to ride flat land like here.
-
LOL @Kurtize ! I worked on my health and weight loss today. I rode my bicycle for 45 minutes then strength training for 35 minutes and 25 minute walk. Here's my ST workout. Click on the spoiler.

@Tabatha_Cain - I use MFP and Hackers online. Here's an article about calorie deficit below. Also, I've read your blog. Next time you visit your doc, ask about your calorie deficit. You obviously pay for that service? They should be making those things clear for you. Calorie deficit is a formula but different for all.…

Did you ever read a soup can nutrition label? Tons and way too many sodium grams! The soup I was about to eat has 640 mg in one cup! In my opinion, that's way to much. May as well make it from scratch and freeze some. So I did that.
-
Plan for my day is done, bicycle ride this morning was wonderfully cooler! I'm getting excited for my up coming trip! I can hardly wait! This morning my tracker gave me the message that I need to cut just 66 calories to have a weight loss this week. I'm wondering about that! @tabatha, that's great!
-
@p21usa - Awe, thank you for that catch! Yes, that's what I thought I said. You're right. I said it backwards! Does that count as dyslexia :D ? I like that a lot better!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Thanks! It would be great to see what others have learned about nutrition labels. I'm in! We can post there and copy the info into our team chat too. <3 @Tabatha_Cain - by reading and understanding food labels, you'll be able to control your diet better. It's defiantly a good way to get our weight under…

Another thing I've learned about nutrition labels is the protein listing. I needed more protein while healing. Unfortunately, I was eating too many calories, by using this little trick it has helped me stay in my calorie range while getting enough protein. Just by adding a zero to the protein amount on the food label, if…
