Been using MFP for a few months to log workouts and track calories and macros. I'm a 44 M, 6 feet, and looking to gain more muscle mass. I'm a classic hardgainer, so that's my ongoing challenge. Good luck to everyone here on their fitness journey. You can do this. 💪

Did a 39 minute upper body weight lifting session this morning.

Happy early birthday! Mine is coming up on the 28th. June birthdays rock.

Burned 207 calories doing a 45 minute full body workout. Got back from vacation yesterday, so I'm trying to get back to the normal workout routine. Happy Saturday, guys.

Burned about 140 calories in a quick weightlifting session. Not much, but it's something.

Burned 165 calories doing tabata workout. Not sure how many of you are familiar with it, but it's a great HIIT exercise routine. It will get the heart pumping and the body energized for the day!

That is a great idea. Someone mentioned recipes, and I think that would be super helpful. We could link to ones we like or just share the info in the post itself. The accountability category would be helpful, too.

As a middle aged guy now, I know I can't train the way a 20-something would, as well as eat a ton of calories like they would. Given that metabolism slows down and…

Haha, ticket to Gainesville. Love that! This guy is entertaining to watch, but he makes some good points, too. I do need to be more thoughtful about how much peanut butter I consume. Thanks for sharing!

That was super helpful insight. Thanks so much! Yeah, I realized I should really dial back the peanut butter. I've been only estimating each portion without measuring them exactly, so I bet that has gotten me. My weight went up only about a pound or two over the last several months, and I'm sure it wasn't exactly muscle.…

The good news is that you are still young, so you will continue to grow in size as your body develops. That being said, do you currently do any weight training? Here is a helpful video that describes 5 basic exercises you can do to build muscle, based on compound lifts. https://youtu.be/HWO2W5c9m7o?si=vzn7Asxzdr8fJ-YC…

Hi all, 43M from the US, and I'm new to the MFP community. My goal is to try and maintain the muscle I have right now, but lose some excess fat. I'm the prototypical hardgainer, so that's been my enduring challenge. Please feel free to add me as a friend, as I'd love to get to know others here and encourage you in your…
