3.5 months ago I did bloodwork to try to get onto insurance, and I found out that I was prediabetic and had slightly elevated cholesterol. I lost 10 lbs since then and just redid my bloodwork and everything came back normal! I am quite relieved to have that off my head!

Hi! Thanks to everyone who responded here. Just wanted to give a follow up. It’s 3.5 months later and I lost 10 lbs. All of my numbers are now in a normal range, and I am no longer considered pre diabetic!🎉🎉

I set my goal in happy scale and weigh myself every day so that I can just look at the trends and not get discouraged if my weigh in day is a high fluctuation day. Thanks for the response! I’m just starting out here. I’m 5”2 SW is 197, GW is 130. So I do have a significant amount to lose. I play basketball 1-2 times a week but other than that my only exercise is walking, so I don’t consider myself highly active.

Thank you! I’m starting to feel like a special snowflake 😩 Am I the only super young person on here struggling with this? Or just the only one that got lucky enough to do routine bloodwork and find out about this while it’s still a relatively easy fix? (My Dr thinks that if I lose 5 lbs in the next year it will reverse…

Wow! Doesn’t it take about 3 months for A1c levels to go down? That’s amazing that you were able to do it so quick. I’m at 5.8, so hopefully I can get to normal numbers pretty quick!
