  • 3.7 pounds down so far this month. I am learning to accept that my weight loss is moving slower now, and I am working on being patient with that because as long as it continues to trend down - that is a good thing! Still shooting to be under 170 by year end.
  • So far, so good. I have been tracking my macros and food in MFP every day and the scale is moving. The stalls I've had over the last few months have put me behind my original goal to be 165 by the time I head out of state for Christmas, but I hope I can at least get to 170. As long as the number on the scale moves down,…
  • Hi Everyone! I have been on a weight loss journey since March 2024 and I was doing great until October. I have not been "off the wagon" per se, but in the last two months I have been slacking on using the food diary and watching the carbs (my nemesis). This has resulted in slower weight loss progress, so I am hoping that…
  • I was on my feet all day on Thanksgiving - cooking and running about - and I noticed at the end of the day that my feet did not hurt. I'm usually struggling and having to get off my feet by the time I sit down to dinner.
  • Well, I got ambitious, and I did not completely succeed. I had 13 pounds to lose by Thanksgiving and I did not make it. I still consider it a success though, because I did lose 10 more pounds. I'm just 3 pounds away from having lost 30% of my body weight since beginning this journey in March 2024. 72 pounds gone. That's…
  • Hi! :) I'm new here! My name is Jenny, and I am 5'2" and 53 years old. I have a wonderful husband of 26 years, two teenagers (17yoF, 15yoM), and a sweet little 4-legged son, Baxter. I have PCOS and have yo-yoed all of my adult life while still being otherwise healthy, but in February at my yearly physical, my cholesterol,…
  • Nighttime eating is my vice too! The evenings are my only "me time" after the kids and hubby go to bed, so I cherish it, but I also tend to snack...unhealthily... when I am up late. It stinks, but I had to train myself to go to bed earlier, even if it meant sacrificing my alone time, just to control it. I get up an hour…
  • I'm so sorry for your loss, Krews. I had been on a health kick and had lost 30 pounds when my father passed, and the stress and grief of his loss derailed my progress. You can do this! Climb that mountain one step at a time.
  • I feel your first one in my bones! I am on a weight loss journey and when I finally got to being one pound less than my husband, I shared that with him because I was so happy. Well that motivated him to also drop the extra weight he is carrying, which is great, but for a while we were battling it out on the scale. LOL. I…
  • Net carbs = Carbs - fiber - sugar alcohols Regular sugar counts towards carbs.
  • Mini-goals make the journey so much more fun! I like looking at the next little hill instead of the whole mountain, and celebrating little victories along the way. Today I have officially lost 25% of my total body weight! I had set this goal to achieve by Halloween and I did it a month early. Woohoo! 63 pounds gone! Next…
  • Did you do it?! 🏃🏽‍♀️
  • Congratulations! Keep up the great work!
  • Congratulations! Now that you have 50 less pounds to carry around, you should start walking a few days per week to build up your cardio fitness for your trip! You are going to have such an amazing trip in your new body!
  • I did it! I have officially lost 50lbs, 20% of my body weight, and also entered ONEderland! 🙌🏼 My next mini-goal will be 25% of my body weight. I’d like to hit that goal by Halloween. 👻 That’s 1lb per week so I’m hoping it’s completely doable.
  • How are you doing after your first shot? I hope you are one of the lucky ones who do not have too many side effects! Mine have been minimal. Constipation is the main one I experience but adding Magnesium Oxide (Mag07 brand) to my nightly routine has kept that problem at bay. The only other minor things I experience are…
  • I did enjoy it, thank you! Interestingly enough, I saw a whole bunch of family that I haven't seen since Christmas '23 (40 pounds ago) and the only ones to comment on my weight loss were my sister and niece who knew that I had been working on weight loss. But I've yo-yo'ed so much over the years, I can imagine why the…
  • I just squeaked that one in, having lost exactly 40 pounds by July 8th! My next mini-goal was my previous "medium" goal of losing 50Lbs by 7 Sept for a big event. I think I can do it, as I only have 4.5Lbs to go and 6 weeks to do it!
  • @BecomingMoreAwesome - It definitely stops the food noise for me. Not only do I not think about food and have to remember to eat in general, when I do go to eat something - so much food is not even appealing to me anymore. I have no desire for anything fried, no sugar cravings, no heavy carbs.
  • Quoting my own post to say that I met my next mini-goal of losing 15% of my body weight. Woohoo! My next mini-goal is to have lost 40 lbs. by the time I leave to visit my family on July 8th. 3.6 pounds to go!
  • Hey everyone! I started my weight loss journey at the end of Feb and lost 17 pounds on a low carb diet before starting compounded semaglutide on May 8th. I'm on my 6th dose (four weeks at .25 / two weeks at .5 so far) and have lost 18 more pounds on the medication, for a total of 35lbs down. For now, I walk on the…
  • You are doing the work, girl! What a milestone! Congratulations! Also...your hair is gorgeous!
  • Hi all! I just took my 6th shot of compounded semaglutide today. I started my weight loss journey in late Feb and lost 18lbs before starting the sema on 5/8. On sema I have lost 15lbs in 5 weeks so far. I was on the "loading dose" of .25mg for the first 4 weeks, and I just increased to .5mg last week. On the loading doses,…
  • My first mini goal was 10% of my body weight. I did that, and the next goal was to get my BMI below 40. A few days ago, I hit that goal, so my next mini goal is to reach the loss of 15% of my body weight. 4 pounds to go! I have planned out a whole series of little goals over the course of this year. The little victories…
