i came here because my exercise adjustment from fitbit hasn’t worked for two days, although everything else seems to be in sync. so i guess it’s yet another thing.

good lord! maxi-adventure! i do hope you’re truly okay—you sound as if you’re making light of it! what a thing. thank goodness you’re in the hospital, anyway. i can relate if you really are okay, though. a couple of weeks ago i fainted for nearly the first time in my adult life, and i’m nearly 73. but it happened the…

@SummerSkier me neither.
-
@SummerSkier yep, it’s back. thanks for letting me know!
-
terrific. i just disconnected fitbit yesterday and switched to my apple watch. not that that’s any better: mfp, my watch face, and apple health all show completely different numbers that bear mo relation to each other whatsoever that i can see. perhaps i’ll switch back and see there…

@Greaterthanlife not sure why you’re posting these but i don’t think it’s doing what you think it is…? you need to use the food diary.
-
completely useless now, both of them. i have no clue what i’m going to do now.
-
mfp responded by sending me here. since it’s over a week old, i guess we can expect fitbit is out of the picture now.
-
this is getting ridiculous. there’s no point in even using either of them anymore!
-
but then how do you know what your actual goal is?
-
this is just nuts!
-
not understanding why you say that. the posts immediately above yours are from the last few days.

does anyone here use a garmin fitness tracker? i’ve relied on fitbit for years but it’s becoming increasingly unstable and i’m panicking. my entire meal planning system is based on knowing what i should be eating each day and i’m scared to lose that ability.

are you kidding? you look great! i lost 50s over a year ago, hit a six week plateau and gave up. i’d be lying if i said it wasn’t at least partly because i was afraid of sagging skin. i started again in july and i’m back on track, but i won’t be nearly so concerned about the skin this time. i’m 72 and nobody sees that skin…

late october annual physical. my dr. was over the moon last year as i had lost 50#, but right after i saw her i hit a six-week plateau and then just gave up in despair. gained half of it back before just starting again recently—i even postponed my annual appointment six months so i wouldn’t give *her* a heart attack! so my…

hi. i’m working the other way, but new to both, really. i came over to mfp when google destroyed fitbit food logging, then the next week i got the notice i was eligible for the noom prediabetes prevention program. so far i rely on mfp the most; i have real issues with noom. mfp seems the most comprehensive for meal…

https://nytimes.com/2024/07/25/world/canada/jasper-wildfire-canada-national-park.html are you in jasper? @BCLadybug888 ?

i’m still getting it all connected to work with a pre-diabetic prevention program, but i have mfp connected to fitbit, and then fitbit connected to noom for the pdp program for everything BUT food, which i enter into noom manually each evening using my mfp info. (noom makes these things about as difficult as can be and…

restart after giving up on six week plateau and gaining half back. 1.2#/wk, first loss in a year.
-
i think this is my first comment here, just started last week…lost 1.2#. i also joined the noom prediabetes thing on the it can’t hurt theory. this week i’m giving their food logger a try, see how it measures up to mfp—i’m still planning meals with mfp, then logging them in noom. so far everything i’ve tried (recipe input,…

well, i’m here to report that my experience was almost exactly the same and today was my first weigh-in after restarting last week: the 1.3# i lost was the first actual loss in well over a year! the plateau finally broke!
-
i think it’s fixed! seems to have been a latency issue. now noom is showing my weight, foods and steps, all of which seem to be running through fitbit. i’m entering only food on mfp and fitbit is transferring the rest, but apparently only a few times a day. which is fine, as long as we know it will. @AnnPT77 thanks, the…

@BCLadybug888 sorry to keep bombarding you but you seem to be the only one in the whole place who answers anything! after spending days getting mfp/fitbit/scale set up, injust got a place in noom’s pre-diabetes program. i got it to connect with fitbit but can’t figure out how to connect noom with mfp. i read on reddit that…

as a follow up to my last comment, fitbit doesn’t show this morning’s weigh-in info but mfp does. so we know the scale is transmitting and info is flying around, fitbit is simply DOA except for energy tracking. i have no reason to ever go to their now unreliable app! google took a great product and simply borked it.
-
as a follow up to my last comment, the scale seemingly did not forward the weigh-in info to fitbit, BUT mfp *does* show this morning’s info. mfp is not connected to the scale so it must have gotten it through fitbit, there’s no other route. but no new info is showing up on the fitbit app! i give.up.
-
i also have a smart scale connected to fitbit. tomorrow is my first weigh-in since coming over to mfp and i’ll be interested to see if fitbit sends the weight it gets from vsync over to mfp, or if i will need to remember to log it myself. i’ve been on program for a week, but i’ll consider that first weight my actual…

i think it means total daily energy expenditure?

looks like this group has gone dormant, or is everybody just in mourning for what they’ e done to food tracking on fitbit? starting all new is bad, especially when they count so differently! where i am at present is my fitbit and mfp linked, and my smart scale linked to my fitbit only for weight only—it had defaulted to…
