I have been on low carb since January and have lost 18 pounds. It's a great diet. I stay under 20 carbs a day and have found the foods that I like and can eat. The first couple of weeks can be rough but once you push through, it gets easier. So much so that I believe that I could eat this way for life.

How much do you use each day for inflammation?

Thanks! I will look into getting a heart rate monitor.

I used Phentermine several years ago and lost about 30 pounds in 2 months. However, I was jittery, irritable, and had trouble sleeping. But I continued because I was happy with the weight loss. But, I started to get immune to them after so long and then they stop working. I gained it all back plus more.

Thanks that helps!

Tell me about this gluco please. How does it help your knees? I don't know what runners knees are (I don't run) but a year ago I moved into a house with stairs (10 inch steps when regulation is 7 inch) and I have recently developed pain and weakness in my knees. Haven't been to doctor though.

This may be a dumb question but I'm new at this....what are macros?

I eliminated sugar, potatoes and white bread. I stay under 1700 calories per day. I workout on the elliptical for 30 minutes which burns 200 calories which I get credit for so that makes my caloric total around 1500/day. If I do the 1200 they suggest I don't lose weight. And I have 1 big cheat meal every 10 days or so. I'm…

All natural peanut butter on celery is a great snack too. Finely chop cauliflower in a food processor, put in a bowl with a lid and cook in the microwave (don't add water or anything) and it steams the cauliflower and has the texture and appearance of rice. Add butter and a little salt and it's delicious!
