The best advice I can give to those above is to follow research, not people. People often link to website, or videos, or blogs, but rarely to articles. Maybe Dr. Oz is a 'quack' that doesn't mean he's wrong about everything. People have tend to have opinions. Facts speak for themselves. Reputable, peer-reviewed journal…

Why is this? I mean, what's the difference, specifically?

The extent to which the posterior chain is worked during a front squat is minimal. If you want hamstring and glute activation your best bet with regards to squating is the back squat; more specifically, a low-bar squat. With that said, variations of the deadlift will stimulate the hamstrings and the glutes better than any…

Protein shakes are best used for convenience. There's a myth that you need to get in so much protein within so much time after you workout, but this is not supported by the evidence. I use protein shakes to makes sure I hit my overall goal for the day and at times when a meal isn't an option. For example, I workout early…

You should understand that depression is a medical condition brought on by a deficiency of certain brain chemicals (dopamine, seratonin, etc..). Contrary to popular belief, depression =/= saddness. Look at it like a deficiency of a certain vitamin, let's say B12. There are two ways to reverse this; more B12 in your diet,…

I'd actually recommend going over. 0.8g of protein per lb of bodyweight (if you're not obese - and judging from your pictures you're definitely not) is generally accepted as a good goal.

I've had this exactly numerous times after intense biceps work, especially after preacher curls I find. It'll go away eventually, just like regular DOMS. My best guess is that it's the biceps tendon that is sore. Keep in mind that when you weight train, your tendons and ligaments get trained as well as your muscles. If it…

Agreed. How much weight did you put on during your bulk? And any ideas what your bf% might be?

Binge eaters have been shown to have a dopamine release after a binge not unlike drug addicts after using. It's also similar to "runners high." Perhaps a better way to get the endorphin fix

If you're looking for an objective opinion I would say it's reasonable for you to take a day off. Next day seafood could be considered questionable so there's no reason to be afraid of taking a sick day. As for using up your day off, don't.. I wouldn't count a sick day as a day off as your body is recovering from the…

I would take another look at calories burned. You're estimates seem to be over by quite a bit. I can see the approx 700 burned from walking and circuit (although maybe a stretch) but where are the extra 1300 or so coming from? It just says "Bodybugg"

Nothing like DOMS to let you know you killed it in the gym! It's only this bad because you're new to strength training (or haven't done it in a while) As your muscles get used to the exercise it won't be near as bad. In the meantime try a bath with epsom salts.
