Almost 6 miles of walking total. I took my normal daily walk this morning for half of it and then this evening I went for another walk to forage some mulberries and ended up walking another almost 3 miles. I burned quite a bit of calories but didn’t exhaust or hurt myself and I feel great still.

I’m usually ok as long as I don’t exercise within a couple hours of bedtime. I need at least 2 hours to wind down

Pushed my double stroller with my 2 toddlers for 58 mins. Burned 229 calories and 3 miles. This is my daily routine now when it’s not raining. The kids enjoy it too. I take them to a soccer field nearby when we go and let them run around and play. Start weight: 206 lbs Current: 146lbs Goal: 125lbs

Nut butters and salad dressings! And that an actual serving of them is so much smaller than I thought!

I’m really close to your before photo and I also had a baby. So this is so inspiring for me. Good job you look great!

I was doing 30 mins on the elliptical and then some strength training, but from what I’ve read for the physique I want I need to start doing more strength training and less cardio so I’m doing that now. I do lots of squats, lunges, ab exercises, etc.

You look great!! I’m sure you will be able to get a date!

I don’t think mine is at all but I have a pretty basic elliptical that doesn’t have to option to enter your body stats. It says I burn 100-120 calories in 30 mins of elliptical which I think is low. Mfp says 300 something. So I just pick 200 which is in the middle.

I follow starch solution and have found I do not need to calorie count on it! So I no longer log my food and I just stick to starch solution the majority of the time (sometimes I have some fatty foods like vegan meats and cheeses, but not often) and work out. It’s working well and I feel great!

In total I’ve lost an average 2 year old! But actually my son is 21lbs and only 11 months old so I’ve lost more than his body weight lol. That was before pregnancy though. My actual highest during pregnancy was 196 and I’m 163 now. So I’ve lost 33lbs the weight of a cinder block!

Looking at before and after photos really helps motivate me! I spend a lot of time looking at the success stories here and googling before and after photos. It makes me want to try even harder because I know if they can do it I can too. Also taking “active rest days” has been a real game changer for me. In the past when I…

I started my journey at 189lbs and got down to 150lbs, then I got pregnant with my son. I truly believe I would not have gotten pregnant had I not changed my diet and lost weight. My hormones were all over the place and my periods were so irregular. I did not get down to my goal weight prior to getting pregnant, but I was…

To weigh what I did when I got pregnant. I had lost a bunch of weight before I got pregnant but I still wasn’t at my goal. Pre-pregnancy weight: 150, CW: 164.

I do. I have an infant son and getting to the gym is really hard for me. Even before I had him I had a hard time utilizing a gym membership. It’s easier for me to just work out than to motivate myself to drive to a gym *and* to work out. I have an elliptical and bike combo and do body weight exercises and yoga on my active…

I do “active rest days”. On the days I don’t do my normal work out routine I do yoga or walk. That way I don’t feel like I’m doing nothing and get out of the routine. In the past when I’ve taken full rest days I have a hard time getting back into it. Especially if I take more than one in a row.

I get this too and I think that's a huge part of my problem as well. I'm now about 5 lbs lighter than the maximum suggested weight for my height, and I figured once I was in the normal range I would no longer look overweight, but I think I still do. I definitely pictured 151lbs on my body to look very different than it…

Thank you for all the comments, I think you're all right and it's just taking time for my brain to catch up. I just hope it catches up soon!

Yes my fiancé insists he can see the difference and I look great. I logically know I lost weight as I can wear some pants that I hadn't been able to fit into and a lot of my "fat clothes" are too big. It's just hard to see it in the mirror most of the time. Thank you very much! I still have another 20lbs I want to lose. I…

I couldn't do the quiz because I don't own a tape measurer. I will have to get one.

Same here! I really didn't realize how big I looked when I was heavy until a friend of mine posted a very unflattering photo of me on FB. I saw something totally different in the mirror. Part of the problem may be that I don't have a full length mirror, because if I go in a dressing room with a full mirror I can see that…

I don't think it's anything like that. I've read this could happen after significant weight loss, where your mind takes awhile to catch up to what you've lost and you still see the way you used to look or have a hard time seeing how much you've lost. I've seen it called "phantom fat". I just didn't think it would happen to…

I aim for 80 10 10 but am usually over on my fats because I like hummus and it contains olive oil. I am trying though! Regardless I have been consistently losing weight, so I guess I must be doing something right

There are so many better sources of inspiration to eat a plant based diet. I've watched fat, sick, and nearly dead. I don't agree with juicing or with treating this as a temporary fix. It doesn't do any good to eat healthy if you just go back to eating crap again. I recommend the video on YouTube called "the best speech…

300-500 which is what I average for every meal. Sometimes breakfast is a little lower than the rest, but not much.

She is probably vegetarian and they don't know the difference.

This link doesn't work for me, but here is another black bean brownie recipe that is also vegan and gluten free! http://minimalistbaker.com/vegan-gluten-free-black-bean-brownies/

I was responding specifically to the comment that the person made that they eat yogurt and meat to get protein, It was not regarding juicing. As I said you would have to juice lots of veggies that are high in protein like kale and spinach in order to meet protein goals. As far as eating a regular non juicing diet, you do…

My concern is inadequate fiber. Of course this would be a VLCD and not sustainable long term, and it would be deficient in many nutrients. I think protein would not be of utmost concern here. Calorie intake and fiber would be my concern.

With an adequate juicer yes you can, you can also juice kale.
