  • Hi! I'm 45 but definitely don't feel it! Have lost 16kgs to date and would like to get rid of some more, but taking it one step at a time. I love working-out, lift heavy and box hard! I try to follow a Paleo/low carb lifestyle but have my weak moments. I live in Australia, married with two teenage sons. Would love some…
  • Wow! You look amazing!! Cheers to you my fellow Aussie!!! :drinker: :drinker:
  • WOW!!!!! You are inspiring! Thank you for sharing. WOW!!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I had mine out two years ago. I also suffered with severe pains that saw me in the Emergency several times. Drs thought it may have been some stones left in the ducts but I haven't had an attack now for 12 months but I think it was because I had codeine which my body cannot tolerate any more (hence pain ceased as soon as I…
  • Your are my inspiration on here Melissa :) xx
  • Honesty, your post made me sad. I'm not here to solve your problems but I couldn't not respond. I really wanted you to know that you are not alone. My brother also suffered from anorexia at a young age. He was only 14 years old. He was a big kid and was constantly bullied at school. So he went on his own mission to loose…
  • I've been doing Zumba for over 2 years and still love it just as much. I wear a HRM and I burn anywhere between 700-1000 calories in my hour long class. I would suggest a HRM as being the best way to see how many cals YOU burn doing YOUR Zumba class - everyone and every class is different. Please add me if you like and…

  • My week would not be complete without my 3 zumba classes!!! I have being doing it for nearly 2 years now and still love it as much as I did after my first class  I've lost some weight and inches but more importantly, my cardio fitness has improved out of sight!! I'm hooked
  • BUMP!! Yum!!
  • I use to do a Body Pump class every week at the gym for ages. I really loved it and I just don't do it any more because I've moved onto my own lifting program. I agree with starting your weights low and that way you can make sure your technique is correct as well. Then build your way up to heavier weights once you're got…

  • I had mine out about 18 months ago because of gallstones that I didn't even know I had. At the time I was being screened to be a kidney donor for my mum and was having every test known to man when they found them. I had my gallbladder out because the doctors said it would be best for me in the long term. I had never even…
  • So funny that you should ask!! Normally I do Zumba at my gym, shoes on, of course. But there are no classes until the 9th of Jan so yesterday I did a Zumba DVD at home on the carpet with shoes, and I hated it! I felt really restricted in my moves, heavy on my feet and they hurt afterwards. So I was just debating with…
  • Wow!! Like everyone else, I just wanted to say that you are amazing and look gorgeous :) Well done, you must be so proud xx
  • Hi I'm Jo from Bendigo in Victoria. Been down the same road as you many times and even back again sometimes too :( But you have come to right place now. Add me if you like and good luck :)
  • Yep, and I'm super excited about it!!
  • makes me really sad thinking about what I have done to my body over the years :(
  • Are you inviting us all???? And no, "Aussie" is not offensive....it's more a term of endearment I think ♥
  • Hi I have joined the group. Thank you so much for suggesting it! See how I go anyway:smile:
  • Wow! Violet dead? This never crossed my mind until NOW! And Tate....he just broke my heart :brokenheart: I'm going home to rewatch.
  • Thanks for your reply fellow aussie gal too! Your food suggestions are great...can certainly do the eggs, wholegrains, Ryvitas and cottage cheese. We love our Summer BBQ's too and always cook-up heaps of mushies, capsicum etc too. The chocolate flavouring only started after someone on here said to have a glass of milk and…
  • Don't get me wrong..I am totally wired after working out, I just LOVE it! But I am starting to realise that I am not refueling my body adequately. I totally agree that I should maybe add in an extra strength training and drop a cardio. Done! It's really difficult to get past that number on the scale...but I do my best.…
  • Hi and thanks for your reply. I do Zumba at 7pm in the evenings that's why I have a larger meal during the day because I don't feel like eating too much after I work-out. You have made some great points, thank you so much
  • Okay I'm interested but I am really ashamed to post my body fat percentage.....oh damn it-that's why we're all here yeah?!WTH.....it's 43.5%. Sad but true :embarassed: Love to know where we go from here....
  • Thanks for your suggestions....they were awesome. Cheese is my weakness, I'll admit. I only eat low fat varieties though. And yep, I should be eating more protein. Not a huge meat eater but the egg thing I could definately do more of. I will take this on board and keep working at it the best I can. Thanks again
  • I'm extremely fond of that four letter word at the moment  I am having today off exercise to recharge my batteries for sure. I will see how I feel tomorrow. Thanks for your help...it made me smile
  • Hi Cheryl. Let me tell you, you have come to the right place for support. MFP has a fantastic support group....a lot of people just like you and I, embarking on this weight loss road together. I too have had knee problems so I know a little about what you are going through. Please feel free to add me and we can take that…
  • A HRM with a chest strap is a must-have. It not only gives you an accurate calorie burn but it is really motivating...keeps you on track. I do interval training on the stationary bike. So I warm-up for 3 minutes then go as fast as I can for 30 seconds, then slow it down for a minute before amping it up for another 30…
  • I think this sounds like very good advice. I will give it a go. Thank you so much everyone :)
  • Hi! Fellow Aussie from Bendigo Victoria. Happy for you to add me. BTW you do not look like you need to loose 50kgs :noway:
