I agree with all that was said before. Something that helps me is gum and hard candy. It's way fewer calories than some of the other things I might snack on. ETA: popcorn, especially air popped - high in fiber and low in calories, also makes a nice snack.

You have already received a lot of good advice here. The first being to not beat yourself up. If you are not cursing/being abusive, it will be OK. Not that you should keep yelling, but give yourself a break. Parenting is crazy hard! I have twin 4 yo's and a 2 yo. These ages are SO trying. And every now and then when you do…

jog.fm you can find music by genre and by desired heart rate. i love that site.

I can't speak to the inches part but 3.5 lbs in 3 weeks is dead on. That's great! Nothing to be frustrated about. 1 lb per week is a reasonable and healthy weight loss. I would guess that in a few more weeks you will see the inches lost. Keep up the great work!! And don't get discouraged. It sounds like what you are doing…

PA: A special cleaning ordinance bans housewives from hiding dirt and dust under a rug in a dwelling. Also: No singing in the bathtub!

calorie king has a nice book - calories, fat, carbs, etc. for tons of different foods and restaurants. they also have a website. it's very handy and i have found it to be very accurate too! HTH

I think it is... but maybe I'm wrong. search the exercise database for zumba. I found it there. or is that not what you want to do. You can add your own.

That was great! Oh Kirk Cameron - how I loved you. The ONLY thing it was missing was a clip of kids getting "slimed" from You Can't Do That on Television"? Remember that one?

Hi! I started MFP when my baby was @ 5mo. I found the combination of BFing and MFP to be REALLY helpful. My doctor told me to go NO lower than 2000 cal/day. What I did when I first started was made my goal 2000cal/day and then used a "breastfeeding mom" FOOD that is worth negative 100 cal for 3 of my meals. So I was…

Just out of curiosity - what did you do to break the plateau? Did you just stick with it? And how did you do THAT when the scale wasn't moving? I struggle with that so much. I get so discouraged when the scale doesn't move. Congrats though!! You should be so proud that you hung in there! One or two days isn't going to…

Mine is set at 40% carbs, which for me, is @ 180 carbs per day for 1800 cals. This is on the advice of my nutritionist. If I can stick to this, it seems to work really well. I lose the weight and 180 carb grams is really do-able in a well balanced diet. Now, if I could just keep myself "balanced"....

I always did it with skips in days. I still saw good results. My knees were bothering me too and since I have to chase 3 little kids all day - I just can't afford an injury. In between I would walk or do yoga to let my knees rest a little. Don't start over, you didn't lose any ground - move on to level 2 and get back at…

just from a quick look at your diary, it looks like you might want to try eating more calories. Some days you are under or just around 1000 cals for the day. If you are running/working out, you probably want to eat more. Great work on the running! Keep it up! J

I am interested in the responses here. One common sense thing I do is stock up when something is on sale that I can freeze. For example, our local store will sometimes sell the store brand of 12 grain bread 3/$5 which isn't too bad around here. Boneless skinless chicken breast for $1.88/lb - I buy as many as they let me…

I'll send you a request! 5 kiddos! How do you do it? I have 3 and my head is spinning most days! J

HI! I have 3 little ones too and have the same trouble only my difficult time is late afternoon... first, see if you are actually hungry, check your calories - you may need a few more. Gum helps me. Sugar free, a ton of different flavors. Or someone once told me to break their smoking habit they would bite down on a whole…

That is one of my hubby's biggest pet peeves too - but there are times that I walk on the "wrong" side of the road because of a curve or a hill or a bunch of trees that actually makes it harder to be seen on the "right" side - then I switch back. One of my biggest pet peeves, is people getting all riled up about how other…

I always mix my ground beef with lean ground turkey, then I make meatloaf, meatballs, hamburgers, tacos, mix it in to spaghetti sauce, mix it with refried beans and put it in a wrap with lettuce - not terribly creative, but I have to feed a family of 5 on a budget. HTH, J

Hi! It looks like you need some friends. I have PCOS, as well as a couple other challenges. We can do this together. Sending you a friend request.

Sent you a request!

I got a new balance N4 at target it was @ $50. It is really easy to use, seems pretty accurate, and I never notice the chest strap. I got a watch without a chest strep for Christmas, it was useless - it would tell me I only burned 40 calories during a 30D shred workout - put on the chest strap and got a reading of 200…
