I got a gift card for best buy and now I am thinking about getting a HRM watch. My budget is $70.00-$100.00. Anyone have any advice or experience with them?

I just got a Mio watch from Bestbuy....it was
$70 and I had to order it online as they did'nt have it in the store. I works good I think but a lot of tinkering with it til I figured it out. Hopefuly it is accurate...I am testing it tonite with my treadmill's calorie count so we will see!0 -
I got a new balance N4 at target it was @ $50. It is really easy to use, seems pretty accurate, and I never notice the chest strap. I got a watch without a chest strep for Christmas, it was useless - it would tell me I only burned 40 calories during a 30D shred workout - put on the chest strap and got a reading of 200 cals/burned for the same workout. You definitely want the ones with a chest strap, and they are roughly the same price.

Hey, friend.
I got the Polar FT4 and like it a lot. A chest strap is good, and the one I got is perfectly comfortable, as is the watch. Wish it had a pedometer, but that's the only thing I'd change. Glad you're investing in one ... be interesting to see what you think.

Watches are ok, but after testing them, they arent anywhere near as accurate as the chest straps, but its better than just guessing too.
Do you have a smart phone? If you have a Droid, get the Polar BlueTooth+ (Polar has a list of different apps you can use with it). I believe it was 80 bucks. If you have an iPhone, my friend recommends and loves his Nike+.
Addition...
Both are 79.99 if I remember correctly.0
